Finally got to try this gem my family has been raving about. First up Crostone, basically an elevated bruschetta. 4 elegant pieces of delectable bread, tomatoes, basil and cheese. Definitely a winner with a glass of wine while you peruse the menu. The Arancini is also delicious. The star of the pasta dishes was the cacio de Pepe tagliatelle...such a simple dish but orchestrated with perfection. Fresh pasta and butter pepper sauce, but not like noodles from the kids menu. It pains me to give less than 5 stars to this restaurant because Antonio and his wife have created a wonderful neighborhood spot with fantastic food. However, I had a disappointing experience with their staff during a takeout order tonight. When I arrived to pick up my pizza and salad, the host was not at the front, so I went inside and noticed my food on the to-go table. I asked a waiter to confirm that it was mine since the salad had my name on it, but the pizza did not. He told me I needed to go back outside to check with the host. Visited Made in Italy on a Wednesday night and it was not too busy. Service: not the best but also not the worst. The host seated us quickly (lack of greeting) and the waiter took around 10 minutes to visit our table. It was pretty busy inside so we let that slide. I'm not sure what has happened to this place over the past year and a half, but I feel compelled to share my experience. Unfortunately, I got sick after eating a Chicken Panini due to what seemed like a lack of proper food preparation and cleanliness in the kitchen. It appears the kitchen and the overall space are in dire need of a thorough cleaning. They seem to be starting to clean their doors again due to COVID-19, which is a positive step, but there's also a sense of performative wokeness, at least based on their social media presence. One of my friends ordered the lasagna, which featured thin, house-made noodles filled with meat and cheese, and it was beautifully presented. The portion was quite generous as well. There are only wonderful things to say about this small gem! The only downfall about this place is it is not big enough and you might have a bit of a wait if you don't want to sit outside. Our server was very kind and made suggestions for us! We started with drinks and focaccia bread! (Tip: Be sure to get oil and vinegar to dip it in! they make their pasta and it's very fresh and amazing! We got the Tagliatelle pasta which was a Cacciao y Pepe and the Marghwrita pizza! Great fresh dishes. I ate the lasagna as quick as a golden retriever, it was so good. My wife had the bianca pizza with carmelized onions, mushrooms, and sliced zuchini and it was great. Tiaramisu and regular cheesecake rounded out the meal. The 'misu was better than I had imagined and the cheesecake had that dense, baked quality to it, which makes it stand out from cheesecake anywhere else for me. I got here early to order take out. This place gets busy as soon as they open. So i knew to be the first in line. Ordered my take out. Quinoa salad, pizza and the chicken panini . Took 10 minutes and i was on my way. Everyone was super pleased with their food. My salad was so good! Everyone there was so nice , even offered my water as i waited .
