The laid-back ambiance and friendly staff make you feel right at home. We visited on a Tuesday night for the comedy drag show and easily found street parking in charming downtown Penacook. The storefront has a nostalgic 50s vibe that adds to its charm.
We reserved a table an hour before the show and ordered drinks and food. They had a small plates menu, so we decided to share three dishes: the BBQ pulled pork on a homemade biscuit, an incredibly indulgent mac and cheese, and fried catfish served...
This is a fun, quirky, off the beaten path LGBTQ friendly, warm, shabby drag queen chic, southern comfort food style menu. It's laid back, welcoming staff are awesome, and we were there for the comedy drag entertainment show on Tuesday nights. Found streetparking easily in little downtown Penacook. Surprised to see an almost time machine like business storefront 50s vibe. Reserveda table an hour before the show, ordered drinks and food. They served the small plates menu, so we ordered 3 dishes to share;the bbq pulled pork on homemade biscuit, this super ridic Mac n cheese, and the fried cat fish with tarter sauce and frenchfries. So, sooo yummy ?????? Absolutely coming back with more friends...
The host who seated us was friendly, attentive, and sociable. However, our waiter seemed to be new and was not very attentive, quick, or helpful. The menu offered a nice variety of appealing dinner options. Our drinks arrived first, and they were excellent. I ordered the crab balls, which were fantastic, while my wife had the etouffee, which was very good as well. We crumbled one of the crab balls into the etouffee, and it was amazing! The ambiance was decent but nothing extraordinary. The prices seemed a bit high, but the quality of the food made it worthwhile. The only real downside was the service from our waiter.
The person who sat us was nice, attentive and social. The waiter we got, he seemed new. He wasn't attentive, expedient or helpful. The menu was nice and filled with good dinner choices. The drinks arrived first and they were great. I ordered the crabballs, which were fantastic and my wife ordered the etouffee, it was very good also. We crumbled one of the crab balls into theetouffee and that was AWESOME! The ambiance is ok, nothing too special, the prices seemed a bit high(but the food was reallygood), the only real detractor was the waiter.

We ordered drinks and food at the same time, but after the drinks arrived, the waitress did not return to our table for nearly an hour, despite the restaurant only having a few occupied tables. Frustrated, we eventually asked for our meals to go. Unfortunately, when we got home, we discovered that our overpriced meals were both small and tasteless—quite disappointing, especially for a Cajun restaurant. I only gave it two stars because I genuinely want to like the place, and the owner appears to be really friendly.
On a positive note, the owner was warm and welcoming, which added a nice touch to the experience. The dining area is cozy and has a charming ambiance, particularly with its distressed teal ceiling. I sincerely hope they can enhance the flavors in their dishes; without that improvement, I’m not sure the restaurant will hold up in the long run.
What an amazing place! The owners are friendly and have a great sense of humor, and the food is excellent (I had the gumbo). It's also very welcoming to the LGBTQ community. They hold events and sometimes have live music, too. I highly recommend this spot for a meal or drinks!
The warm and satisfying soul food pairs wonderfully with a varied cocktail menu. The portion sizes are ideal for enjoying a range of your favorite tapas. The service is outstanding, and the special themed brunches make this restaurant a must-visit!

This restaurant was truly outstanding! I went there with my sister, and every dish was incredibly tasty. The decor is lovely, and the music created a wonderful ambiance. I highly, highly recommend visiting this place!
