Was looking for some crispy flavored wings and Maejoo popped up. Upon arriving seemed 50/50 but the best wings ever sign and pictures sealed the deal. I ordered the 6 piece combo with the salad which was amazing and the rice with some pickled radish on the side. My first bite into the wings I immediately realized the chicken experience might be downhill for the rest of my meal. I would NOT recommend this at all. Chicken tasted dirty and old under there bland flavors and tasty names. The staff was polite but me and my cousin both looked at each other and felt sick after forcing ourself to try our other flavors at least. We had the worst taste in our mouth. I really wanted to love this place. My husband really wanted to like this place too. This is currently for the wing review only because their name made it seem like the wings would be bomb. Their portions are GOOD in terms of the massive size of wings so you feel like you get your money's worth even if you do the 6 wing set. We had leftovers. The sauces were underwhelming and none of them were particular outstanding. It is pretty salty though. Our friends were chugging water with us because of the sodium we intaked. The pickled lava chips are great! They are pretty spicy...the kind of spicy that creeps on you. But really addicting.
Thank god for Maejoo Wings! It 's so hard to find a quality wing spot these days but I 've ordered from here 3 times and I 'm hooked. They offer wing flavors that tons of personality . I 've ordered the sweet chili, lemon pepper dust, and parmesean furikake dust. The wings are pretty big, always well seasoned/flavored, and moist on the inside. Also, the Maejooslaw is . It 's a very flavorful kale salad with a little kick. It 's so good, that my wife and I each get our own separate order or Maejooslaw b/c we don 't want to share, lol
This is the best Korean food I’ve had in a very long time. We ordered the bulgogi plate and the tofu kimchi stew, and both were absolutely delicious! The beef was a premium cut, well-marinated, and the kimchi stew was rich in flavor, clearly made with care using real ingredients to create the broth. Maejoo has become my go-to spot for Korean cuisine, and I’m excited to try the chicken next time. I’m so relieved that we no longer have to travel far for a great tofu stew!

I never thought in my life that I would have Parmesan furikake wings, but I sure did, and they were just spectacular tasting as you might think. The thing that I admire most about it is that in so many wings, the detail was put into each wing where they were dusted with Parmesan and furikake so there were no wings at all that were bottom of the bag nice hot and crispy in the outside and juicy chicken on the inside. Can 't wait to try the other flavors!
Finally, we have an amazing Korean restaurant in the 'Dro! The place is small, so be prepared for a wait, but it's absolutely worth it. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the food is excellent! During our visit, we tried the spicy pork bimbimbap in a stone pot and a large order of fried chicken (half plain fried and half sweet soy glazed). I enjoyed both dishes immensely. I highly recommend giving them a try!
Probably would give them a 3.5 so rounding up. Wings are fried well and are good-sized. We got a large (20 wings) with honey soy and parmesan furikake and while both flavors were decent, neither were mind-blowing/must have again. We'd go back if we were craving wings and wanted to support a local business, but we'll probably give other flavors a try.
I really enjoyed the wings, spicy chili and honey soy. I liked the spicy chili wings better because they had more flavor. I also ordered the beef brisket ramen which had just enough spice to delight the senses. : I will come back and try some other dishes!

This cozy little restaurant has a delightful homey vibe. The food and service are exceptional! We sampled the LA Galbi and the Jjigae (tofu and kimchi soup), and they could very well be the best we've ever tasted.
Best Korean chicken wings in San Leandro! They are great for take out! Very friendly staff!
