I wouldn’t normally complain about a food order arriving quickly but on this occasion it wasn’t a good omen. Coming from people who love Indian cuisine and have enjoyed quite a few meals in Indian restaurants. My husband and I made reservations for this restaurant whilst on holiday this week based in the great reviews. So many good reviews, it must be nice. We arrived at 7.25pm as per our booking, I kid you not we were home by 7.55pm! We ordered lamb roghan josh, palak paneer, tikka chicken, rice and a naan… within 5mins chicken arrived, 2 minutes later the other dishes arrived. You know this isn’t a good thing when there should be an element of freshness when ordering a curry in a restauran...
I have been a loyal customer of this restaurant for several years. However, in my last three orders for takeout delivery, the food arrived late and cold. Despite calling and complaining to the owner the last two times, there was no improvement. As a result, I have decided to try a different restaurant. It is disappointing to see so many restaurants in Noosa facing challenges, yet this one seems indifferent to customer feedback. I will be looking for a new restaurant that values my business in the future.
I guess they've been in business for 30 years for a good reason. Great for those with dietary requirements all curries are already GF, and they were more than happy to spell out which were also DF, or could be DF upon request. And so tasty! I had the goat curry and my husband had the Rogan Josh and we both have enough for a second meal so good!
If you venture off the main path, you'll discover great curries at this hidden gem. The staff is friendly and the prices are reasonable. Although it's a small venue, it didn't take away from our experience. We even returned later in the week for takeout. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal here.
