I booked a table here according to other reviews. I'm so glad I did. We're here 15 minutes early, but our table was ready and waiting. We were greeted by the staff who were so smiling and friendly. There were a number of food available... I wanted to try everything, but set up for the lamb, and my son ordered the Haggis. When the food arrived, it was hot and so delicious. It was also very filled. I wanted to try a pudding, but I could just fit one. We will definitely return here when we return to Edinburgh. I would definitely recommend people here who are after a delicious, piping hot, satisfying meal in a quiet, relaxed and friendly environment.
Delicious sausages and potatoes at this restaurant! The staff were wonderful and provided great suggestions, especially for sharing loaded skins which were huge portions. The food overall was top-notch. I enjoyed the beef and black pudding sausages with black pudding mash, as well as the wild boar sausages. For dessert, the sticky toffee pudding was a sweet and spongey delight. Overall, a yum-worthy experience!
This charming restaurant has incredibly warm and welcoming staff. The booking process was seamless. We decided to try the lamb and Scottish beef sausage, along with a delicious pudding for dessert. The pudding was absolutely fantastic, although we found the beef to be a bit on the salty side. We will definitely be returning for another visit in the future.
I had a wonderful experience at this Mash Bar! I ordered the lamb with smoked beans and it was delicious! The portion size was generous and the food was cooked perfectly. The prices are reasonable and the service is quick. I would highly recommend this restaurant to any tourists looking to try delicious Scottish cuisine at an affordable price.

Scottish traditional dishes with a twist. I especially enjoyed the variety of Maische options available! The service was excellent and the setting was lovely. The crispy potato starter could have been crunchier and the cheese on the chips could have been melted more. Aside from that, it was a delicious meal.
very good experience in this mash bar! I have the lamb with smoked bean mashing and it was perfect! very good part of the food, perfectly cooked! the prices are affordable and the service is fast. will recommend to any tourist who wants to taste good cuisine from Scotland at a good price.

The food at this restaurant was outstanding and the staff were fantastic. Definitely try the ox cheek - it's a must! I also tried haggis for the first time and it was amazing!
