This is a lovely restaurant with a great ambiance that really captures the feel of Asia. We noticed a group celebrating in a special corner with a personal hibachi party, which looked fantastic. However, the food didn't quite meet our expectations, except for the sushi, which was excellent. The Pad Thai was overly sweet, and the chicken-corn soup lacked flavor. The service was decent, but overall, it was a mixed experience.
I had a good experience at MakiSan, but ever since it changed its name to MakiHan, both the service and food have declined. When I went to pick up my order, I was told they had run out of brown rice. The cashier even asked if I wanted my change back—really? I ordered shrimp fried rice, and the rice was stale, as if it had been reheated. Overall, I was dissatisfied and disappointed.
Been here several times and staff is friendly. They do charge gratuity if there is more than a party of 5. We always get sushi for appetizers and hibachi for dinner. My daughter loves the performance and enjoys her shrimp lo mein. Will always pick this spot for hibachi.

The hibachi chicken was very flavorful and well-seasoned, with a nice char on the vegetables. The scallion pancakes were also delicious. The service was good.
