Die Mala Bar ist ein guter Ort, um indisches Essen zu essen und zu genießen. Der Ort ist einfach und hat Gemälde von Indien an den Wänden und eine kleine Statue von "Ganapati", der ein indischer Gott ist.
Wir haben den Mango-Lassi, Bangalore Dosa, Lammkoteletts, Spinat Chaat und Hühnchen Chettinad ausprobiert.
Mango Lassi-Es ist schön und erfrischend und hat einen schönen Aroma von Mango und insgesamt einen ausgewogenen Geschmack.
Bangalore Dosa-the Dosa war sehr nett und knackig.Die Füllung hatte Kartoffeln und Dal und hatte die perfekte Menge an Gewürzen und Geschmack. Die Kartoffeln waren gut gekocht, und Dal fügte der Dosa zu einem Twist hinzu. Ich empfiehlt es an alle: D < Br>

Mango lassi-It is nice and refreshing and has a nice flavour of mango and overall a balanced taste.
Bangalore dosa-The dosa was very nice and crisp.The filling had potatoes and dal and had the perfect amount of spice and flavour.The potatoes were well cooked and dal added a twist to the dosa.I highly reccomend it to all:D
Lamb chops-It had a nice spicy flavour but I am not a lamb eater so it wasn't my favourite.

Das Essen war sehr fad und enttäuschend. Wir bestellten:
- Butterhuhn: war sehr tomate-y und wässrig. Schmeckte wie eine Tomatensuppe mehr als alles andere. Kummer
- Palak Paneer: Sehr böse Mischung, schmeckte nichts wie ein guter Palak-Paneer, und der Paneer schmeckte auch schrecklich. Kummer
- Aubergine und Tomate: Nur wie Aubergine mit Zwiebeln in Tomatensauce geschmeckt.
- Samosas: Sehr klein, definitiv nicht für Geld. Sie schmeckten auch Sub-Par. Kummer
- Knoblauch Naan: Kaum Knoblauch darauf. Ich habe gerade wie ein einfaches Brot geschmeckt. Kummer

Food was very bland and disappointing. We ordered:
- Butter Chicken: was very tomato-y and watery. Tasted like a tomato soup more than anything.
- Palak Paneer: very bad mix, did not taste anything like a good palak paneer and the paneer tasted horrible as well.
- Eggplant and Tomato: just tasted like eggplant with onions in tomato sauce.
- samosas: very small, definitely not value for money. They also tasted sub-par.
- garlic naan: barely any garlic on it. Just tasted like plain bread.
Overall, very expensive and very disappointing. I would not come here again.
Landed to this place in order to get rid of my cravings for idli but hard luck, even they don't serve idli like other South Indian places in Sydney. Called for a masala dosa and vada sambhar. This place is really popular among the patrons but din stand upto my expectations. Din like the sambhar and chutney at all.
Being on the expensive side, the food served is not good.

The more spicier version meant for Indian palates out of the two Malabars. The other milder one is in darlinghurst. I love this one which has better food though service could be better like their other branch.
Fantastic place! Best Indian food, I have had here. Dosa & Goan Curry were superb! Highly recommended. I have been there twice and it was amazing both of the times.
