The customer service in this cafe is the worst i have by far ever seen... I've been into Maleny food co a few times now and all i ever seem to see is the bosses out the front or behind the counter arguing.. And not to mention how rude they are towards customers not even acknowledging them.. Being a boss you would expect a polite hello how are you going? So rude. We decided to take a weekend trip to Maleny and stop for lunch at Maleny Food Co. The restaurant was a spacious and bright place, formerly a newsagent. We ordered our food at the counter and both went for the smoked salmon bagel, which was absolutely delicious. The bagel was freshly baked that morning, with a nice crunch on the outside and soft inside. It was one of the best bagels I have ever had. The salmon and cream cheese were generous and flavorful, with some spinach leaves for a fresh touch. I had a cappuccino, while my husband had a strawberry milkshake, both of which were satisfying. They serve tasty lunch dishes and coffee at this restaurant. If you're a fan of cheese and gelato, you'll definitely enjoy coming here. The walls are adorned with a variety of produce. It can get quite crowded during lunch hours. The grazing board was exceptional, but it's a good idea to order extra bread with it. The staff is accommodating and willing to push tables together for larger groups.
Mango gelato was perfect, big serve, cherry ripe ice cream was also excellent. Great selection of produce from local suppliers, especially cheese and salami in the separate cool room. Local and international cheeses. If you don't have time to visit Kenilworth dairy, then go here. No tasting, but lots of choice. Lots of jams pickles etc.

Could not rate this place higher, we had ordered a cake that was ruined by a restaurant so we went in the next day to Maleny Food and Co to see if we could get the cake remade the morning of and the staff were so lovely and remade the cake for us on the day! Such a lovely experience with this company, we will surely be back!
I recently had a delightful breakfast at this restaurant. Although it was a bit expensive ($28), the portion size was generous and well-prepared. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere was lovely with the warm winter sun shining through. The scrambled eggs were creamy and rich in buttery flavor.
We only had gelato here it wasn’t a busy time when we were there. They have good range of flavours. The ice cream was really delicious creamy. Although we didn’t get anything from the fromagerie, it looks like they have nice selection of cheeses cured meat too. Will check it out next time.
What a busy, busy place. The staff can barely keep up at lunch time. Still, kept their cool and did manage to serve everyone. Tasty food, and their cheese tasting room can get very busy. Bought some cheeses. Had the lychee ice cream; divine.

Lovely cafe with gluten free options included on the menu. We enjoyed the burger, one standard (in the background) and one gluten in the foreground. Maleny Food Co. will be a regular pit stop when we travel through town.
