My friends and I had had quite the morning, and we were looking unsuccessfully for a place to eat. When we stumbled upon Mali Thai, it was by pure chance. One of the employees was praying, and she noticed us standing in the rain and quickly let us in. She let us that the restaurant was still opening but we could wait in the meantime. The waitress we had was nothing but real. We were contemplating menu options and she gave us an honest opinion on food options, which is refreshing. I ordered the Khao Soy, and it was phenomenal. It was creamy, rich, and it had the fried noodles on top with soft noodles underneath. The chive dumplings were also deliciously savory and very crispy. I had a great t...
The Food was decent. I asked for my soup and my main course to be spicy and neither were even close. The Tom Yum was actually nothing but sweet. Zero Heat. Same for the main course. No heat. I would’ve asked the waiter to bring me out something to spice it up, but I never saw him between the time he brought me my food and the check. I sat there for fifteen minutes with an empty water glass. I’m paraphrasing, but he basically said he had too much to do to take care of me. When your server basically tells you that you aren’t important enough to warrant their attention, there’s a problem. Really, I was the only person there and now I know why. Horrible service. Decent food. I will not return.
I don't usually leave reviews but this place is amazing! The food is spectacular and they clearly have a very experienced chef. I felt badly because I filled up on appetizers and didn't want to finish my main meal even though it was delicious. The kind waitress gave me a box and was quite concerned I didn't like my food because she said they are always trying to improve. It was my girlfriend's first time trying Thai food and this place sold her on it. We will be back and will brag to others about this sweet little dining experience!
Used to go to the Thai restaurant before it turned to Mali Thai, so wanted to try the new place. Food: Pad thai and chicken satay were okay, but the panang curry was pretty bad. The curry was very watery. It lacked spice and saltiness, and was overly sweet. To make things worse the curry had broke/separated (see picture). Service: I did take out through their website, while I was right outside their restaurant (estimated 45 min). I go in right away and pay. Wait inside for Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
The food was really good, however what was more noticeable was the service. The knowledge and courteousness of our waitress/hostess was simply incredible. She made fantastic recommendations that were spot on and delicious. The Kru will definitely recommend this place to you. Only one thing....bring a sweater it's a tad bit chilly... maybe because the kitchen is so ?. Sorry about that...lol ENJOYVegetarian options: Yep... they in thereKid-friendliness: Yep
I walked in, rang the bell as the sign said to and the young gentleman turned around and said I’m sitting right here . When I first saw him I assumed he was kitchen staff how was I supposed to know ? . As a server myself it was honestly rude and off putting to the point that I didn’t even dine in . When I go places I want to spend money where people are at least warm and hospitable. I completely understand now why the place was a desert
Came here on a Sunday afternoon. Service was good and the food was great. I travel to Thailand a few times a year and my wife is Thai. We had the fish cakes and som Tom (papaya salad). Then some northern Thai sausage and sticky rice. I challenge everyone to try something else along with something they are comfortable with. You might find some flavors you love..
