Everyone in Kentucky knows Malone’s and how it is one of the most premium restaurants to go to. They mainly take reservations, however, so make sure to book ahead of time! The dishes are pricy, but the food is consistently delicious and the portions are large! My fiancé has taken me here on many date nights, and I’ve brought him here for his birthdays! The server we had for our anniversary lunch was very good to us. My filet mignon was overcooked had a little funny taste to it, but wasn’t horrible. The lobster wasn’t very good, it also had sauce instead of drawn butter. My husband’s New York strip also had the funny taste, but was cooked correctly, his shrimp was very salty very over seasoned, his Mexican corn tasted awful, really awful. On Thursday, July 18, 2024 my husband and I had dinner at Malone's to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. My husband made reservations and emailed the restaurant to let them know it was our 25th. He requested a booth. We were seated at a booth and given a vase of 25 roses!!! Which was a wonderful surprise. Our waiter and his assistant were wonderful! They let us take our time and enjoy the evening! The food was spectacular. The strawberry stack (sorry, we didn't get a photo of it) is delicious! I attended a celebration at the Malone's Lansdowne and was very impressed with the food, service, and venue. There were multiple attentive servers who ensured that everyone had plenty of beverages and food during the event. Our dining experience included spinach artichoke dip, filet mignon, grilled salmon, grilled chicken breast's with mushroom gravy, mashed potatoes, a medley of roasted vegetables, salad, rolls, mimi key lime pies and melt-in your mouth brownie bites!
We ordered a lot of food throughout 2 hrs. A celebration dinner. Service was slow most of the evening, especially the first hour. We had to keep flagging down help for our needs. It was overall good but exhausting.
Always a staple. The menu is outstanding with its variety of options that are always well prepared. You’ll always feel important eating here. Maybe it’s all the autographs you’re surrounded by.
