We requested a table for two and were seated after about 20 minutes on a Thursday night. The restaurant is quite cramped, which is understandable given its prime location. We started with some bread that was decent, though it was a bit more than I would have preferred. Next, we ordered two pizzas. The staff was absolutely fantastic, answering all our questions and making us feel very welcome. The pizzas were okay—not terrible, but they had a bit too much grease on top and weren't memorable enough to make me want to return. My last night in OC and here we came for dinner. The line outside was crazy that we didn't think we were gonna sit down before they closed, but we did! We were probably the last round of individuals who closed in front of the restaurant. We shared the mushrooms and mozzarella sticks that were so delicious but heavy when you order a pasta for dinner, I would recommend one of the two if you are a smaller party (less than 3 . Mama D is incredible! We traveled 500 miles on our motorcycles just to dine here, and I would gladly do it again. Keith, the owner, is a warm and welcoming host who came over to chat with us and even brought his mother's favorite dish. The pasta is fresh, and the pink sauce is rich and delightful. I have no complaints whatsoever. The food is fantastic, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is lovely. If I could, I’d give it 6 stars!

The weather is lovely today, so I took my sisters to Newport Beach for dinner. I found this affordable Italian restaurant on Yelp. Once the food arrived, I was impressed. The salt and pepper squid was incredibly crispy and delicious. We ordered two plates, and my oldest sister devoured hers. The pasta was excellent as well! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

So delicious! I had the baked ziti with meat sauce and pink sauce and it was so delicious. The service was great. Waiter and staff were kind and attentive. The wait wasn't too bad for 7 on a Friday. We only waited 30 minutes and they passed out some bread while we waited. Will definitely be back to try more of their menu.

Chicken Mama Ds was average. The Half Caesar salad was quite small. However, the bread with garlic olive oil was enjoyable, and the calzone was good. Unfortunately, I don’t feel the meal was worth the prices. I won't be ordering from here again.

Mama D's has been a family favorite for many years! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the waitstaff is friendly and helpful. The food is consistently delicious and reasonably priced. It's truly one of Newport's hidden gems!

So so so good!!! Never disappoints, love the raviolis,pink sauce rigatoni and fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. Followed request and threw in extra bread and cookies yay!!! Will definitely order again : Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

Absolutely delicious—simple as that. The pink sauce is amazing, and the ravioli are outstanding. I know I'm using enthusiastic and complimentary words, but every one of them is warranted. Yum!

DELICIOUS! Had the Chicken Capri , and the Papa D apos;s Scampi Shrimp. YUM! Everything was perfectly seasoned cooked. Loved it.
