Average Chinese food. Came for the dumplings which are pretty average. There's a beef egg drop soup which is pretty good. Good thing they provide plenty of vinegar to help with the grease that comes with soup dumplings. They can definitely cut back on the grease used in the special pancakes (have no idea what they're called in English). For the price point, this is a decent place. However, if you're from China and have eaten plenty of Chinese food already there's nothing special here that will seem better than authentic Chinese food. But it's good enough to get a good preview of soup dumplings. Just wish it didn't taste like literally every other soup dumpling place I've been to. This place...
Everything about this restaurant (in THIS specific location, I haven't tried any of their other locations) is special and cooked uniquely. This is truly authentic Chinese food, so don't come expecting the 19 oz of sugar per family-style portion of food or the MSG. The food is exotic and unique. The presentation is great. The service is fast and efficient, and the place is always brimming with people so make sure to either reserve in advance or plan ahead for some wait times.
Definitely a hidden gem. The food was amazing. Best orange chicken I’ve ever had and the juicy pork dumplings were amazing. We also had beef noodles and they were delicious. It was so good, we ate it again tonight. We are visiting and don’t have one in Florida. A must try if you’re in the area!
Food is amazing! Nice atmosphere too... the ceilings are super high and there is a really cool print on the west wall. Besides their dumplings, try the scrambled eggs with shrimp and sauteed green beans. Tasty Only bummer: no beer
Update: I can't believe this place is only a 4.2!!!! Should be a 5.2!!!!! Still the best!! One of the best Chinese places around in Monterey Park and that's a statement! Great food, cheap prices, and lots of parking!!
Recommend it 100%! The food is amazing!!! The servers are terrific and hard-working. I always leave a good tip in appreciation of their service and attentiveness.
