3-4 yrs on and I still travel from Brisbane West to eat. Used to live in the street behind when they first opened (I miss that old house). I've basically had it all - Lamb Ala Kandar (wow), Chicken Sambal, Lamb Firdoss, Chicken Chennai, Lamb Sagwala, Chicken Ayam Madak Merah (double wow), Beef Redang, Beef Vindaloo, Goat Curry...all of them masterpieces. The spices, texture, tenderness....you get the drift.Let me state something incredibly important - the portion sizes are epic.... twice the size of anywhere else - Sitar (Albion, Coorparoo), The Spice Avenue (Birkdale), Curryville (Morningside), Grand Taj (Carindale), Taj Mahal (New Farm), Punjabi Place (West End). I've been to them all......
As lovers of spicy Indian and Malaysian food, we came here expecting to be disappointed. We ordered a Mysore Masala Dosa (basically a traditional Masala Dosa smeared with a extra chilli tomato paste) and a Lamb Roti Murtabak which came with a bowl of fragrant lamb & chicken coconut curry. The food was sensational!! The flavours were authentic and everything tasted like it had been freshly made from scratch (instead of the usual commercial curry paste/sauces). The dosa and the murtabak was as good as or probably even better than anything we've eaten in India or Malaysia!! We'll definitely be back to try some things!

Very small restaurant and also very busy. They do a lot of takeaways but I went on a Thursday night around 5:30pm and it filled up very quickly. I ordered Butter Chicken with a cheese and garlic naan and rice. The Butter Chicken was out of this world, like nothing I've ever had before. The naan was also soft and fluffy with plenty of filling. The service was also very friendly and it was quite quick for how busy it was. I would recommend this for anyone that loves Indian food.
Delicious meal, and huge - we ordered 2 mains, 2 naans, 2 samosas and medium rice, planning for leftovers for next day lunch. As is, we got extra rice and separated it into 2 extra meals each. So 6 servings altogether, for $52 all up! And the Kashmiri naan in particular was one of the best we've ever enjoyed, as was the saag paneer. Great, friendly service as well. Highly recommended.

We went here for a birthday party with a table of 9. They managed to get all the meals out hot and writhing a few minutes of each other. Very good food exploding with flavour and the peshwari naan is superb! We have been coming here for a few years and never had a bad meal and always roll out fuller than we thought possible and all at a very reasonable price!
Went here with a friend for dinner on her recommendation. The atmosphere and service is not that great, but the food more than makes up for it. Shared a couple dishes and had to compromise on the spice levels and had everything at a mild/medium. The flavours and spices in the curries are just awesome.
Terrible service. The eggplant curry & veg samosas were nice, however wait staff were brutally rude. To be fair we were a table of 7, but took a long time for each meal to come out and when the wrong order had come out, the waitress demanded we take it anyway. Very rude, won't be going back.
Will be back. Best Naan in Brisbane! We ordered for a group 3 curries, 2 meat 1 veg all in all good flavours. Definitely too much food so go with an empty stomach.

Terrible time management but excellent foodThis place does make amazing food, the Aloo Paneer is incredible But it takes forevvvvver.
Lovely people. Superb food. Take away takes a bit long (35-45 minutes) but it's absolutely worth the wait.
