Had a disgusting black hair in my salad. Went up to inform the staff and had an older male sitting out the back watching me stand at the service desk for some time before he decided to get up to serve me. I told him about the hair and he said it wasn't from there. They have an open kitchen and you can clearly see that the cooks do not wear hair nets not to mention I was there for lunch with my daughter, sister and niece and we are all blonde! I pointed this out to the man and his response was "It came from out there not in here" No offer to make a new salad or money back - Worst customer service ever and judging by the comments on here I am not the only one who believes this.
This is the 1st time I'm reviewing a restaurant without having any bite in it. The reason is that we went here for an advertised 12$ meal deal only to hear that apparently the deal is no longer valid and they won't sell it to us even though the ad was still there. Okay, that felt a bit weird and but the bells ringing but since we were already there I wanted to give it a second try. We saw 2 small pizza combo deal in their printed menu and went to order the second time to hear that also this deal was invalid. Thereafter we left to find another place.
Had the best nachos I've ever eaten here! Came for a drink at the pub next door and decided to given the food a go. Very cheap meals, large variety of food. We liked the photo menu at the entrance, got to see what the options were (sizes etc.).Service wasn't the quickest but we weren't in a huge rush and they were pretty busy so we weren't too fussed about the wait. The number system was very clever for those of us sitting in the pub.
The food take so long, then the granma came to say we have to wait outside or she will call the security because we aere complaining about the waiting time. Of course she didn't call anymone because we were just standing inside asking for the food that took 30 minutes (we were the only table at the place). The grandson (I think) was so nice he doesn't deserve to be making excuses for his grandmother (or whatever she was)

The table next to us had these beautiful steaks so went to get the same. The server even said he'd thought they'd ran out. What we got was the minute steak they serve in the mixed grill as the steak for the surf and turf. Obviously overcooked as how can you not undercook minute steak. They survive by being attached to the pub. Stay away!!
We found this little gem of a place whilst having an afternoon drink at Magnums on Airlie Main Street. They serve authentic Italian pasta dishes, pizzas etc at very reasonable prices. The food is is homemade, fresh, simple and delicious! I love good honest Italian cuisine and this hit the spot! We ended up visiting again the next day.
My wife and I had fish and chips here early one evening. My fish was the local catch and had light crisp batter. My wife had a lovely piece of Barramundi cooked to perfection and all for a few dollars. Great meal and great service great value. We ate while listening to a very good singer guitar player in Magnums.
Bad food that took forever. Ordered fish and chips, charged extra 50 cents for small packet of ketchup.
