Mamma Mia Trattoria Pizzeria

This is the first time we have tried Mamma Mia. It was highly recommended by friends. The atmosphere is great, we had a good table beside the fountain. The food was fabulous. No complaints. The only slightly disappointing bit was the staff. They were all young'ish girls which isn't the problem. They were friendly. It is their lack of attention to detail. There were 4 of us, they served 3 of the meals and that was it, after waiting around 5 minutes we called a waitress over to see about the missing meal, she said "oh you are missing one?" and looked around our table confused. I hate going to a restaurant and paying good money for food and being disappointed - not at this place!!! Service was excellent, enjoying my meal while watching a sunset - brilliant and above all the food was just divine! It is so hard to find a great, well priced and authentic Italian restaurant. I had the gnocchi in 4 cheese sauce and it was the best I have had in a very long time. I could wax lyrical about this dish for days - it was perfect, flavours were amazing. Having read the many poor reviews here I wasn't expecting much of this restaurant when my friends decided to go. I deliberately ordered the simplest meal (a Margherita pizza) thinking it'd be hard to stuff that up. It took 50 mins for the food for our table of 15 to arrive but it all came out at the same time. Not that bad given that the place was packed. The pizza base was nice and thin but not at all crispy (except at the edges) and quite floppy. That didn't affect the nice taste though. We went there for a special lunch and ordered the Romano Pizza. All pizzas here have a few ingredients and are usually very good and very italian. We ordered this one because of the herb basil which was listed on the menu for this pizza. They served the pizza to our table and stated they did not have any basil... NOT good enough. It was the start of lunch and they are Italian, for goodness sake, go to the supermarket and buy some. We didnt let it affect our mood but was very disappointed none the less. Our first time here and loved it. We were a bit disappointed a couple of menu items were not available but there was plenty of choice. The meals were a good size and very fresh and hot when they got to the table. They were very busy the night we were there, the staff were very attentive, efficient and pleasant. All in all we were very happy with both the service and the food.

Arrived on a busy Friday night and seated quickly (Luckily we booked) Entree and meals came out quickly. Drinks service was perhaps a wee bit off the mark, but hey, they were very busy, and it didn't spoil the night.All in all, a very enjoyable meal, and we'll definitely return.

Ive eaten here many times and have never been dissapointed. The mamma mia pizza is devine and if they have the home made ravioli special its a must have! Its a little expensive but its always delicious so happy to pay for great food.

Came here for a family birthday, we arrived at 5:50pm. Soon ordered our meal and got them at 7pm! If we wanted a drink we had to ask. Very poor service, pity as it was great food Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
