This was my first time to Biarritz and I happen to get over this wonderful restaurant while I explore the city. Directly away I was drawn to the fresh cozy decor and it is called Manatee... I mean, who doesn't love manatees! Had a freshly squeezed orange juice and came back for lunch, which was delicious and healthy. You're doing everything out of the ground so I think the healthy foods can appreciate this restaurant outside. The owner even took the time to tell me about it and write a list of all good surf spots and things in Biarritz. Manatee reminds me of hanging my favorite spots and eating in California. Can't understand why this beautiful restaurant is not packed every night. Our main course with ginger carrot vegetables was the outstanding meal of our visit to Biarritz. Exceptional cooking and beautiful presentation. If you appreciate good food with charming service in a quiet environment, Manatee is a perfect alternative to the run of the mills tapas and traditional French bistro offers on the market.
Wow. My friend and I have breakfast in Manatee after a friend recommended us. Everything was so fresh, and the jams were all house. Not sure if France usually has as good as coffee as here, but it was seriously top notch. If I will inevitably visit Biarritz again, I will make sure that I will make another visit to Manatee. I don't usually write reviews, but I knew I had to go with this place.
We came on 3rd August and the salad on the right is the special of the day, with tomatoes, ham, chilli sobert very delicious! The salad on the left is the quinoa salad on the menu it was wonderful. We will be back. Also the gaspacio and hummus were really good!
