Delicious!!! The food here is fantastic and has a homemade taste, and the staff is incredibly friendly. The wait time is similar to what you’d expect if you were cooking at home, but it’s definitely worth it! They offer a great variety of hot and cold sandwiches, along with a breakfast menu. The bagels are AMAZING!!! The texture and flavor are spot on! I really appreciate that they have side dishes that also taste very homemade, and they are readily available for walk-in customers. I absolutely love this place and would recommend it 110%! *I will say that the pumpkin loaf wasn't my favorite. The texture was wonderful, but it lacked a strong pumpkin flavor. This is just my personal preference...
The food was excellent, but the service was extremely disappointing. I ordered a veggie sandwich, a bagel, a scone, coffee, and orange juice. The cashier, who was wearing a mustard-colored t-shirt and a beanie, claimed the juice was fresh, which turned out to be completely untrue. When I informed him that the juice he recommended wasn't fresh, he dismissively said that we are told it is fresh and questioned how I could know the difference. I replied, "Wow, I didn't realize this is how you treat your customers. As for how I know, I make and buy fresh juice regularly, and what you served was just orange-colored sugar water."
The best breakfast in town! Mike B. and his team put in a lot of effort to bring you the finest baked goods from Southbay and beyond. They offer an amazing selection including bagels, biscuits, incredible sourdough loaves, breakfast sandwiches, fresh fruit, yogurt, fresh juice, and coffee drinks. Whatever you're craving, they likely have it. The restaurant is spacious, though parking can be a bit challenging. Enjoy your visit!
And for those curious as to why I didn’t check my order before leaving, the answer is simple: tearing apart a sandwich in a restaurant to confirm that I received what I paid for is not something any customer should have to do. I emailed to request a refund, but I haven't received a response. For anyone curious why I didn’t check my order before leaving, the answer is simple: it’s not the customer’s job to examine their sandwich while still at the restaurant. I recognize that errors can occur, but it’s disappointing that the company hasn’t acknowledged their mistake at all.
I ordered a bagel with cream cheese and lox, and it took 20 minutes for it to be ready. There were more employees than customers in line, yet the wait was still long. A couple behind me also had to wait 20 minutes only for their order to be incorrect. Based on my experience, which seems to be a common issue, I cannot recommend this place.
The restaurant is decent overall, but the main card reader is so slow and outdated that it makes me wonder if the owner is neglecting to equip their staff with newer technology. If as a customer I have to deal with such outdated equipment, I can't help but question what other aspects might be behind the times that I can't see.
