Manna is just part of the Newport Community. Run by very efficient Diane and served by lovely volunteers, Manna welcomes everyone. Coffee and tea and light meals are served. Cakes and scones (baked by local volunteers) are absolutely delicious. There's also a delightful fair-trade shop with wide ranging and interesting stock. Greetings cards, often created by local artists, are particularly attractive.
On a beautiful sunny day, we enjoyed a soup and sandwich lunch at an outside table at Manna Cafe. The pea and ham soup was like I remember homemade soup being when I was a kid simply delicious. The service was efficient and friendly. A great place to while away a lunchtime.
Manna serves excellent tea and scones and a very nice home made fruit cake. It's a fine place to sit in the quiet for half an hour reading the paper. The staff (volunteers? are very pleasant and the whole place is enjoyable, not least because there's no loud music.

Great coffee and ‘comfort’ food, combined with the most welcoming, friendly and helpful staff made this little cafe/ gift shop one of the ‘finds’ of our recent visit. A holiday highlight! Thankyou!!
