Manoll's recently reopened under the meticulous management of the daughter of the popular owners if the 1930s! Anna grew up here in the heyday of fish and chips in Brockville,when customers were lined up around the block, even in winter. Their popularity exploded into five other fish and chipperies in this small Riverside town, starting a F&C war, and eclipsing even the burger chains. We stopped in to pick up dinner. Very friendly owner - sweet person to talk to! We ordered the shrimp and chips and large haddock and chips. It came to just over $30. We were told about the new batter not leaving that mushy mess between the crust and the fish. She was right. It was definitely lighter! We got fresh shrimp cooked right there - delicious! The fish was large and came with a generous portion of fries. Everything was fresh and well cooked. Unfortunately, the batter was very bland. Even with the excellent tartar sauce, I was disappointed to have little taste. The chips were fresh but a little too greasy for me. I am not sure if a different type of fish would make a difference or no...

Hubby and I went there for lunch with friends. It is strictly takeout. We ordered small fish and chips with side of coleslaw. I love coleslaw. We then went to the nearby park to watch the boats and eat. I was a gorgeous summer day and we've had very few this year. The fish (we chose haddock ) was greasy ugh I removed as much as I could . The batter was thin so that was tough. I was very hungry so I ate it, but my stomach didn't appreciate it. The fries...soggy. Oh and the coleslaw ? Nobody mentioned it was in the fridge behind us so, no coleslaw for me. Very disappointed.

As an American child visiting Canadian relatives I would go to Manoll's Fish and Chips as often as I could. Even until this day, when someone mentions Fish and Chips I think of Manoll's Fish and Chips!!! The present owner is the daughter of the original owner. Same great service. Cod and Haddock are available. It's a must to have the order with lots of salt and vinegar. If the order is placed this way, do not have the order wrapped in newspaper. This will keep the fries from going soggy.

AMAZING!!!!I had the fish and chips. The fish was lightly battered so you could taste the fish and were not just eating batter. The chips were crispy and hot. You can tell the oil is clean and fresh because you can taste the freshness not the grease.The menu has great finds...even deep fried curd. The prices are great and you get alot of food for the price.I would strongly suggest Manoll's to everyone.

I just moved to town a few months ago, and have popped in a few times for takeout fish and chips. Both the fish and chips are fantastic! I haven't been there before it changed owners, but the current owners are lovely and nice to talk to while you wait. It was a very welcoming atmosphere.The meal was reasonably priced, and includes a HUGE piece of fish and a very generous portion of chips.

Stopped by for lunch today, split a piece of Haddock and French fries with my husband. Ann (the owner) hand dipped our fish in flour than batter. We watched it sizzle in the grease, yum yum! The French fires cooked also while we watched.The fish was crispy, the fries excellent and the tartar sauce topped it offSmall little place but a couple of spots to perch and eat your food.

When I heard Anna was back just had to go! I have been taking my kids and their kids for many years when her parents were running years back-Ihave been going since a teenager.Must say the food is great and large portions-wish you all the luck Anna -youcertainly deserve it-clean,efficient and pleasant as well as terrific menu!!

Excellent fish n chips. Large portions great batter deep fried shrimp were excellent too. Recommended
