Was excited to try this place but was disappointed in the plat. Not just me, but 3 in our party of 4 all felt the dishes just didn't have much taste. I had the tagliatelle bolonese, which barely had any sauce or meat. I added salt, pepper & a lot of grated Parmesan cheese, but it still was tasteless. My friend got the tagliatelle with fungi. She told me the pasta also had no taste and that the mushrooms were added at the end of making the dish so the flavors did not meld, and the mushrooms tasted like they were just sautéed without seasoning butter or oil. There are lots of restaurants vying for attention on this strip but this one looked inviting and lots of locals were eating in it which is a good sign. The focaccia of the day had cheese and mushrooms and was particularly tasty drizzled with some olive oil. It is quite large so one between two is recommended. We had the aubergine and parmigiana bake which was exceptionally tasty and very filling. Sadly we were too full for pudding. A bottle of local rose wine, water and two coffees brought the bill to about 85 euros which appears to be the norm for the area.
We found Marcello on Trip Advisor and decided to check it out yesterday. Our table was on the terrace with air conditioning, and it was lovely to look at the yachts in the port. I had Marcello salad, which contains Parma ham, Parmesan cheese, lettuce and tomatoes. The ingredients sound simple, but the combination was great, and especially the ham! My father ordered Marcello pasta (tagliolini with some seafood) and was very impressed. My mother tried their aubergine parmigiana, it was delicious and filling. Our waitress was very nice to us too.

My wife and I noted that this restaurant, which is placed where a icecreamplace, La Luna, was before, was rated number one on Tripadvisors list for Beaulieu last year.Marcello may be the best restaurant in the port but cannot be compared with La table de Reserve, L'Essentiel or Cafe des Saveurs in the city. Food as mentioned good and service excellent. The restaurant is very small so reservation might be necessary.
Standard lunch menu for the area, mix of French and Italian. Staff helpful and speak a mix of French, Italian and English. Plenty of bread, tap water kept arriving (a pet hate of mine is to keep having to chase it), the prawn pasta was decent, not out of this world but good enough for a lunch on the way to the beach. Would go back.
This where very good, excellent service and the food fillet with truffle where delicious. And my children have a good dinner also. The service from the boss mr Thierry and his charming assistant where perfect and they take care for everything. Thanks
After we left our table at the pretentious and self-absored African Queen we found this place. Decent food but the staff were absolutely fantastic, great service all the way through. Would recommend everyone to visit this place.

Mid-week in mid-May, the restaurant was not busy. Food was very good, but we had the classic french waiter with attitude - like he was trying to rush us out even though they weren't busy at all.
beautiful location near the main tourist opposite and under good shops. friendly reception and large service. impressive quality of food, especially seafood!
