If you were to ask me, in my opinion, Marco’s Northside Grill is a great choice when deciding on a place to eat when in Highwood, IL. Everything is cooked fresh, made to order, and tastes delicious. The fries are blanched, homemade, and the best you have ever had. I have tried a variety of their options, and have never been disappointed. The fried mushrooms are my favorite. Marco’s is one of the finest restaurants I have patronized in a long time My only regret, is there aren’t enough Marco’s. But thank God there is as least one. Friendly service and a fun place to hang out, we enjoyed the bingo game too. Based on the other ratings I honestly had much higher expectations and wanted to like the food more, but its only average bar food. Highwood now has another excellent dining option, and our favorite spot is conveniently located right next door! Marco's Northside and Toad's have made it easy to go back and forth between the two with a newly added entrance connecting them. It's a fantastic addition to the community. Great job, Marco! Marco's is a fantastic spot in Highwood! The atmosphere is laid-back, and the food is simply delicious. I particularly love their burgers, turkey club, fries, and cheese curds! My friends have tried the wedge salad and other dishes from the menu, and they were all impressed! The inviting ambiance and the consistently friendly staff make it a great dining experience!
Marco is a wonderful person, and the food is simply incredible. You must try the Black Angus Burger, which has brisket as an addition! The beer selection is impressive and reasonably priced. I also appreciate that you let customers order food ahead of time to avoid waiting. I'm looking forward to my next visit!
Unfortunately, I have to mention that it seems this restaurant has closed down. The owner had mentioned this possibility before, so it's disappointing to see them go, especially since they had a successful run.
