Margaret's Rustic Tea Garden

We hadn't gone far (Kilkhampton but when you hit the coast on a sunny day like today and elevenses call just as food nirvana comes into view (come on... wooden benches, proper filter coffee and a selection of 4 homemade sponge cakes to go to war for... you have to say your prayers to heart attack heaven and take the plunge (we reckoned we'd be burning it off on the return leg but hadn't factored in the peach ipa purchased on the way through Sainsburys in Bude . We mused about how good rose wine is when in France and wondered if this was a case in point but quickly came to our senses on the second slice (raspberry and white choc splendidly recommended by the nice lady serving . if they are at bude, please visit this amazing place with the best owners of all time! our team (6 people) was caught in a huge storm and the owners invited us inside to keep us safe and offered tee as we were wet. they are the most friendly people in bude and we will return to this place as the tee garden is magical and their cakes are fantastic, not even mention their friendly and friendly hostess. if I gave 10 out of 5!

Lovely little cafe in a sun trap. Great ice cream after a long walk along the coast. The cup of tea just hit the spot too. Lily loved her dog ice cream. It is cash only, we noticed this on our initial visit when they were closed so we made sure we had cash on us when we were able to return.

really reasonable price for a cup teaspoon with cream jam that was very tasty. but it's fucked out of the way. great for walkers beach goers. we would be driven after a recommendation, but if they are restless on their legs, it is not ideal.

Amazing little place just where you wouldn't expect it! Owners are so lovely, we went there every day of our holiday and they have AMAZING cakes! So peaceful with the sounds of the waves and the birds . Would highly recommend
