I just picked up our delicious dinner orders from Maria's Kitchen in Paradise and added an additional order for two dozen of Maria's fantastic delicacies. I've been feeding Maria's Kitchen well in front of the Camp Fire and never really disappointed. Her food is always excellent, freshly made and reflects the love and passion she has for cooking. I have lived in paradise and in the upper comb since 1972 and the numerous Mexican restaurants come and go, and have experienced both good and non-so-good cuisine from all. We ordered takeout and it took 20 minutes for our food, which included three burritos, two tacos, and a side of chips with salsa. The carne asada was poorly seasoned and consisted of large chunks of beef, quite different from any carne asada I've had before. It was odd that the tacos came with lettuce instead of cilantro. The burritos were quite large, and the prices were reasonable. Personally, I believe the chips and salsa should be included with the meal, as they cost about $3.75 plus tax. Overall, we were disappointed with the food; it didn't taste authentic at all.
I had a Breakfast Burrito here this morning and just wanted to say THANK YOU for making it “exactly” how I ordered it! It’s hard to find that these days.. I’ve noticed especially since I started working for Door Dash.. Overall, my husband and our 16-year-old son enjoyed their burritos. However, it appeared they might have run out of pork, as one of the burritos contained a mix of pork and beef. It will likely be a long time before we consider ordering from this restaurant again, especially since they even charged me extra for hot sauce.

The food is just okay. The owner raised her prices more than 40%, when inflation is only 10%. A children's burrito was $4.00 in April 2022, and 7 months later it is $5.50. Way too much money to pay for just mediocre food. I would rather eat at Taco Bell, it is much cheaper, tastes better, and much more affordable.
I work in Paradise and come here often on my lunch break. The food is amazing, I especially love the enchilada plate and the chicken flauta. The tamales are next level! Maria and her staff are so kind and welcoming. Can’t say enough good things about this restaurant, it’s a must try!
I have been told that the owner is wonderful and I am so happy she is still in business after the Camp Fire. I really didn't like whatever spices were in the tacos and had a hard time eating it. Kind of overpriced.
The portions at this restaurant are quite generous. The tacos are outstanding, and the quesadilla is equally impressive. The chicken is very flavorful too. I can't wait to explore more items on the menu!
