I will never go back to Maria's ever again. The waitress we had was completed unprofessional and rude. We asked if they still offered the chicken burger special she responded "ummm no your not a senior". My brother ordered a burger specifically no onion he is allergic. The waitress took it back but came back with the same burger with the onion scrapped off. This was a mushroom burger so these we the small fried onions. How we discovered this they forgot to scrap all of them off. When we told her she rolled her eyes at us took the plate without saying anything. Got us a new burger which we waited 20 more mins for so I finished my meal as it was getting cold. Never again will I eat here!
Ordered the clubhouse with fries and slaw. Average quality and average taste but too expensive for what you get. Inside needs a thorough spring cleaning!! The vents in the ceiling look like they haven't been vacuumed or dusted in years, the floor has ground-in dirt that will probably never come out, the glass cabinets were filled with finger prints and dust. You can see cob-webs hanging down from the ceiling... and this is the dining area. I shudder to see what the kitchen looks like.I would never take any one there to eat as I would be embarrassed by the uncleanliness. The one positive note, the coffee is good.
Visiting Amherstburg during a summer festival. Beautiful town. Maria's was recommended by someone we bumped into in town. Lucky for us. I had very good broasted chicken , with a salad and broasted potatoes(which I could smell in the parking lot before we got into the restaurant.) Everything was very good tasting. My wife had had their fish and chips and said they were good. The coffee, in a carafe, was very good. I recommend this restaurant for service(very nice waitress), taste and for the very reasonable prices.
Heard about this restaurant for awhile so decided to try it. The staff are buzzing around and know what they are doing. Our breakfasts were brought within 10 minutes and we liked the craft of coffee instead of always asking for refills. Wish more places would do this. The breakfast for all of us was fantastic and eggs to perfection. The service was friendly and ours meals were served in a timely manner. Waitress check serval times to see if everything was ok or if there was anything we needed. Have had several meals here and the service has always been great
Stopped for lunch today. We had an order of fries with turkey gravy,(Hard to find) along with burger and onion rings plus bottomless cup of coffee. Large order split between two people. Good service,easy off street parking,clean washrooms. Just nice spot to stop in Amherstburg.
The food is so bland, that I have to drown every bite in ketchup. They don't use any spices. Also, the service is at best mediocre. I wouldn't recommend this place at all. Especially not for breakfast. The omelettes and every kind of meat they serve is so so bland and dry.

We stopped here as it seemed to have good reviews. The breakfast we had was good. Nice portions and cooked well. The price was reasonable. They have interesting daily specials. We would eat here again if in the area.
