Came here for a quick lunch sandwich 3:45pm since my boyfriend and I were in the area. Walked in, took a number and proceeded to look at menu. One lady called our number to take order, but told her we just walked in and was looking at the menu. The menu board was all over the place so I looked online and decide on the Caprese Salad $5.99 which contained from online menu “Fresh mozzarella, cherry tomato with basil, balsamic vinegar olive oil”. My boyfriend decided on the cold pastrami sandwich. We approached the counter waited about 7 minutes to order but no one acknowledged us untiI I said we’re ready to order. I 've been driving by here for years now on my way to Whole Foods (or Wingstop, for that matter) but I 'd never stopped by till it popped up on a friend 's Google maps list. I would call this a very authentic 'east coast ' Italian deli/market. As a native Californian I 'm not a huge fan but I know I 'll be back when my partner gets back in town. I got the Italian sub which didn 't blow my mind: the bread was just OK they make it with mustard and mayo, not oil and vinegar. I also got a piece of lasagna for dinner which was really good. I 'd be more likely to get the pre made Italian dishes than another sandwich. They also have Italian ice in the freezer.
Really cool deli. Great selection of products. Unfortunately the sandwiches were not anything special and not worth the money. Very deficient in lettuce, onions, oiled vinegar. They assumed that we wanted mayo on all of the sandwiches and I imagine that is how they normally prepare them meat cheese, bread, mayo. Traditionally Italian sandwiches don't have mayo and the lettuce, tomato, onions, Italian seasoning, oil and vinegar, and eggplant salad or peppers help provide contracts to the bread and meats. The 4 sandwiches we got were all one note and disappointing, no one finished theirs.
I don’t get it with the high scores here. Service was good because it was empty on a Saturday at 11:45am. The bread is not good and almost tastes stale and it has that rubbery, grade z type meat there that you’d find in a package at Walmart. I don’t get it. It just tasted super processed and I took one bite and threw the whole sandwich away which is such a shame. . So many delis with amazing crusty fresh bread and quality meat for same price. Never again!! Racist thought I was trying to steal a free sandwich. If you really want a good sub that doesn't look like a Big Mac but a sub, go further down to Eagle Rock in Colorado. There is an Italian Deli there with great subs and great customer service, and the folks speak where there is no loss in translation.
Love it, a lovely little Italian market that has a wide variety of Italian meat, cheese, wines, virgin olive oil, and an assortment of pickled products domestic and imported products. It's definitely a deli and marketplace I will visit again, and buy my international cheese, meats and a wide variety.
This place makes the best Sandwiches in town!!! My fave is the Bad Boy Pastrami (no onions lol) and the Cannolis are mouth watering. It has gotten a little over priced but....it's a No Chain Mario's and I'll continue to support him til I'm able too.
The pizza is fire! It is so good, the crispy crust and real mozzarella cheese is a great mix. They even sell it by the slice! The sandwiches are great as well! They have catering with different sandwich options and salads. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
I've been going here for 60 yrs and this was the first time I was disappointed. The meat was greatly reduced the price was increased by 20%. The staff didn't seem to know the menu. Sorry to see the change.
