Have been a regular patron at Mario’s for years. Two days ago my friends and I decided to dine at Mario’s and as usual we attempted to book a table for 8 adults and 2 children. We were told, that due to heavy patronage on weekends, we had to opt for Mario’s “set menu” for around $24.90 each and the children $17.90, even though they would eat a fraction of what the adults would consume. We agreed half-heartedly. The result is unbelievable. It seems that the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. The waiter welcomed us telling that certain dishes were not available. We had to tell him that we had booked the set menu. He apologised and then proceeded to tell us what we were going...
We had booked a table for 4 persons and ordered our meals. We wanted to try something different than just pizzas. Two of our group ordered pasta dishes and the other two ordered the chicken parmigiana from the menu. After 40 minutes of waiting we reminded the waitress then none of our meals had been served. The two pasta dishes arrived shortly after we complained to the waitress. Our friends started their meals and after another 10 minutes we reminded the waitress then we had still had not received our chicken dishes and that we had waited long enough. The chicken dishes finally arrived. The food could be best described as mediocre at best and not great or fantastic as other reviews suggest....
There was mixed reviews about this place but I decided to check it out anyway on a Thursday night to judge for myself. I ordered a fettuccini based dish, while my partner ordered a pasta based dish, along with Mario's special for pizza, bruschetta and rocket salad. The wait was extensive, at least 30 minutes for our entrees to arrive.The fettuccini/pasta dishes were drowned in sauce, and the flavours were far from dynamic - very linear, plain flavour as you would expect from a can of Dolmio's. Thanks Marios!I organised a dinner for my daughters water polo team for Saturday night.i did all the negotiating via email. I got prompt responses and a choice of 5 menus.We chose pasta/salad/garlic pizza/gelato and coffee for $17.90 per head (kids under 15) and adults $24.90.Marios very kindly offered us free softdrinks as they have a strong association with local wpolo teams.Marios really looked after us. The staff were so attentive. We had an adult who was gluten free. They offered to make her a risotto. And also a gluten free garlic bread.The teens got a choice of about 6 gelato flavours to finish off.Its a great place for a crowd. Lucky I booked as there was a line of people on the way...

We've been twice now within a month and each time it has been packed to the rafters. It's such a popular restaurant and it's because of the great food and service. We all had something different both times we've been and can't fault the food. It's all delicious. Really generous servings and great tasting food. The waiters provide good service and are always very attentive even though they may be busy. Even the staff behind the counter cooking pizzas always greet you when you arrive and acknowledge you when you leave. Very friendly restaurant. We'll definitely go back.
We have been visiting Marios for nearly 14 years and we are never disappointed. Mario himself who makes the pizzas might be busy he will always greet you with a hello no matter how busy he is. His regular staff members are always welcoming and Sam who has been working there for a long period is also welcoming and friendly. You must try the four cheese pizza or the garlic prawns they are great a.d the menu is great value for money. If you live in the area and you have not visited Marios you really are missing out.
Our first visit to Mario's Pizzeria & it won't be our last! From the moment we arrived all of the staff were super friendly, the restaurant had a great atmosphere & there is byo option which is always a bonus! We were very happy with all of our meals which included pizza, pasta & two of the veal dishes. We thought it was reasonably priced given the quality & portion sizes. Parking is available close by & restaurant was pretty full for a Sunday night so would recommend booking where possible.
Not sure about the pastas, but overall the pizza here is really great. They have a variety of sizes and kinds, as well as Mario's specialty pizzas like the Salsicce (recommend). If you're happy sitting outside you usually don't have to book. They only take cash, though there is an atm inside.

Despite some of the reviews on this site, I rate this place as Excellent. We had the garlic pizza and Mario's Special pizza as well as a seafood linguine and spaghetti marinara.WOW. All were superb and the service was fast and friendly.We will definitely come back again!
Wonderful authentic Italian food for the whole family. It is pretty busy so book ahead. It's a pity they don't do home delivery. But well worth it. Won't be disappointed
