The service at Mariscos Villa Del Mar is very poor and disorganized! My group meets here every Saturday, and last Saturday I was the first at my table to place an order. However, I received my food last, after everyone else had already eaten. When I messaged the restaurant about it, their response was to speak with the person in charge next time. This time, I ordered a “Seven Seas” plate, but it never arrived. When I complained that my food was missing, the waitress was whistling while cleaning the table and said she had nothing personal against me even though she clearly knew who I was. I visited Mariscos Villa Del Mar in La Puente for the first time, and it was a wonderful experience. We ordered the fajitas platter, which was recommended by our waitress, Maritza. The customer service was exceptional; Maritza was friendly and always had a smile on her face. She truly went above and beyond her responsibilities, continuously checking in to see if we needed anything. We've definitely found a new spot for our weekend meals, especially since Maritza works only on weekends. I ordered the Filete empapelado, and it completely surpassed my expectations! The fish was tender and cooked to perfection. It was served with a large chile huerito, and I wish they had sliced it and included it in the foil pouch. On a previous visit, I also tried the Campechana, which was quite good as well! Just a small note: I visited on a weekday, and the restaurant had a strong scent of Pine-Sol—perhaps they had just undergone an inspection. When I went to settle the bill, they asked if I wanted the sixty-three cents in change. I said yes, but as I was leaving, I realized I might have preferred to tell them to keep the change since it was a slow night. Oops, my mistake!
As it was our first visit, we paid close attention to the dishes coming out for other customers, and everything we saw looked fresh and appetizing. Maritza truly went above and beyond her responsibilities to make sure we felt comfortable and happy. Exceptional customer service is hard to come by these days, but Maritza provides the level of service you always desire. We will definitely be coming back, thanks to her!

The food was fantastic, and the service was outstanding! Our server, Kevin, was incredibly attentive. However, the loud music from the surround sound system conflicted with the unrelated content shown on the TVs, making it difficult to have a conversation. This was the only reason I didn't give a 5-star rating for the atmosphere. Food: 5/5.

I had my first experience at this restaurant, and I thoroughly enjoyed the asada and fish tacos—they were delicious! However, I think the red salsa could be improved. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I’m looking forward to coming back!
