The only problem I have with any place these days is the price of drinks oh my God. My drink was the same price as my entree. It is a good entree it's not just an appetizer really it's three big giant shrimp tacos. And my glass of wine I have with it cost the same amount almost within a dollar or two. I had a very disappointing experience at Shuckers Oyster Bar. I ordered their clam chowder, which was both tiny and lacking in flavor, and I ended up wasting over $17 on it. There were hardly any clams, and for that price, I was surprised that bread wasn’t included. When I asked for some, I only received two slices, and when I requested butter, I was told no. I heard from other patrons that they offer a great herb butter. For comparison, the All You Need is Love pizza place nearby gave us free butter before we ordered their delicious pizza. First time visiting today with some friends, great experience except the self-service draft beer taps weren't operable. Not a deal breaker, Eduardo (Eddie) behind the Oyster Bar, fixed us up with some cold beers at the counter. The Seafood Trio Sliders are fantastic! Oysters on the half shell, with Eddie's special fixings, were fresh and delicious from WA state. The Seafood Ceviche was off the hook as well! I like this place it's pretty good I've gotten a shrimp tacos at the Oyster Bar really like the Oyster Bar. Today to me drinks are expensive everywhere anything that cost as much as your entree is a bit much I think. But other than that I think it was fantastic I really like the drinks too services really intelligent way to make a drink. Best trip tacos I've ever had keep meaning to try the other food there but I can't get past those. Super good food great service drinks are a little expensive I think other than that but they are everywhere so no point deductions
I used to enjoy visiting this restaurant for lunch and holding a meeting or two upstairs, but they recently changed their seating arrangement, which now makes it less suitable for dining or meetings.
There are plenty of options in Downtown Martinez. It has a charming small-town atmosphere.
Sure has unique experience, great concept.
