While I understand the appeal of using seasonal ingredients since they tend to be tastier and more cost-effective, then the menu should accurately reflect the ingredients being used and adjust the prices accordingly. Zucchini is indeed listed, but it does not compare in value to portobello mushrooms, meaning I effectively paid for something I didn't receive. As someone with allergies, I find it concerning that a restaurant would be so indifferent about their offerings not matching their ingredient list. I tried the original acai bowl for $13, and it's honestly the best acai bowl I've had in the area. It had a vibrant purple color, a nice layer of granola, and plenty of perfectly ripe blueberries, strawberries, and bananas. The acai base filled most of the bowl and was deliciously cold. I live about 10 minutes away, and I was concerned that the heat might melt it during delivery, especially with the current hot weather. I recently tried the Santa Fe salad, Jackson Heights wrap, and steak wrap, and I was really impressed! The wraps and salad were delicious. The Santa Fe salad was packed with tasty ingredients and came in a generous portion. I especially loved the balsamic reduction dressing; it had a nice balance of lightness and tanginess without being overly sweet. The inside dining area is cramped but nicely decorated. The real moss wall is a really nice touch! The service is friendly and reasonable fast and the drink options are well-chosen. I enjoyed the Kentucky BBQ burger burger, done medium. It was fantastic! My only beef is that the bread was soggy and difficult to handle. The price was a bit high $10 for a burger, otherwise a great experience overall.
This restaurant is likely one of the few in the area that genuinely cares about its customers. They offer great suggestions for those who are unsure about what to order, and their prices are excellent for the quality of food provided. The Avocado Toast and all of their bowls are outstanding. Ari is the best!
I have an office upstairs, so I often treat this place like my living room. They offer incredible healthy options, and their Energizer Blast Shake is a perfect pick-me-up when I can't sit down for a meal.
