We were recommended to go to this restaurant for dinner and our expectations were surpassed. It was a fun and friendly place, with not only the staff but also the other guests, including some four-legged ones. The food was excellent - I ordered the Wednesday night steak special and my husband had the Guinness steak pie. Dave and the rest of the staff went out of their way to make our visit unforgettable. Do yourself a favor and check out this fantastic pub!
I discovered this hidden gem on the first day of our vacation and returned every night for four nights. The staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly friendly. The food was exceptional - we even jokingly asked if we could take the chef home with us, but they politely declined. With freshly made dishes and daily specials, this restaurant is a must-visit in Oban. The food and service were outstanding.
After several failed attempts to get my order right, Markie Dan's finally got it perfect. I got my cheese with curly fries just as I wanted. Megan and Paul provided excellent service. I will definitely return in the future.
We were really disappointed! .. burger overcooked and dry ..prawn skewers were cold, rubbery and bland.. standard of food no where near as good as previous 2 visits which makes me think new chef...sadly we wont be returning Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
We were here for lunch on a Sunday, and in Scotland, that means Sunday roast. We had some good meat with gravy. The service and atmosphere were also great. In the evening it was also good to have some beers.
We had fun visiting this pub! The staff was polite and very helpful with us! If I ever come again to Oban, I’ll make sure to drink a few beers again there!
