The cheeseburger and sweet potatoes were both delicious, and we also enjoyed a gin and tonic, alcohol-free gin and tonic, and a beer. The staff was friendly, helpful, and courteous, especially in relation to our baby. The restaurant offers outdoor, indoor, and undercover seating options. While they do not serve coffee, they suggested we could buy some from a nearby café to enjoy with our meal (we opted for a lunch drink instead). One small downside is that the meat smells from nearby restaurants can be noticed at times, but it did not affect our overall dining experience.
After being extremely impressed with the dinner service at Marko we had to return to try the lunch menu.. and again we were overwhelmingly impressed with the food served. The burgers were amazing and the sides were flavoursome and crispy. If I could give this place a 6 out of 5 I would. PS: Although lunch is top notch I’d highly recommend the dinner Set Menu for anyone wanting to try this restaurant it was absolutely masterful and possibly the best vegan food I’ve had in Melbourne. This restaurant offers delicious and fully herbal dishes. There are no "vegan" signs around, which is awesome! They are a pioneer in bringing healthy plant-based food to the masses, a crucial step towards promoting sustainable eating habits. The food is innovative, colorful, and tasty. The staff is attentive and friendly. I will definitely be returning soon, especially since they have a hot chip bar!
My boyfriend and I went to Marko for dinner last night and not only was the food amazing but the team serving us were so welcoming. They explained the menu to us, told us their favourites and must haves. The burger and fries were excellent at this restaurant. The service was great and I had a nice conversation with the owner, who is dedicated to making the best burger possible using local ingredients. He has definitely succeeded in his mission.
Loved the set menu with an incredible amount and variety of food. One of the best vegan set menus we've had in our travels across four states and territories. Will definitely head back to try the other mains.
Although not completely vegan anymore, this restaurant still offers a selection of vegan menu items. The vegan cheeseburger is particularly delicious, and the staff is extremely friendly.
