Marmotte - Tisch resevieren

Ich freute mich darauf, La Marmotte mit meinem Partner zu besuchen. Es sollte ein romantischer, idyllischer Ort mit perfekter Aussicht auf die Berge sein. Leider war die Aussicht das einzig Positive an La Marmotte. Von dem Moment an, als wir ankamen, wurden wir mit einem wenig begeisterten Empfang begrüßt. In der Tat, wenn man bedenkt, dass wir die 20-Uhr-Anforderung schon etwas überschritten hatten (warum eine so strenge Anforderung an einem Samstagabend?), wurde ich mit leichter Verachtung angesprochen und mir wurde gesagt, dass wir das getan hätten Eine Wahl zu treffen, wenn man bedenkt, dass die Küche bald schließt, das ist meiner Meinung nach keine Möglichkeit, eine Beziehung zu Kunden...

This is the best place I have found so far on the mountains above Verbier. The menu is simple but good and the ambience of their place is excellent. On top of that the staff are helpful and efficient - so that's pretty much what you want in the middle of a day's skiing!

This is a classic Swiss mountain restaurant with great food and an excellent wine list including rare Valais wines. But if you can take the sledge ride down after dinner. It's deeply memorable.
