Kind of underwhelmed tbh...was excited to go and when I saw the queue I was expecting it to be the dogs doodahs....ordered chicken Fillet sandwhich with cheese... and chips....thin chips not like the fat chunky ones you used to sell but the Fillet sandwhich was so hard to eat....dry bread and grated cheese that hadn't melted and literally fell out everywhere.... sesame seeds on bun which made more mess than taste.... was so disappointed because heard so many good things....maybe just a bad night but I know a dry teacake when I taste one ...21.00 plus for 2 Fillet sandwiches 2 reg fries and 2 reg gravy.....would have expected better
I called at 7:30 PM to order 1 large wings and 1 chicken burger, and was told to arrive by 8 PM. I arrived at 7:55 PM and waited outside in the cold before entering the shop. I was then told there would be a 15 minute wait for my order. Despite waiting an additional 10 minutes after that time, my order still wasn't ready. The shop wasn't busy, so I was frustrated as to why a pre-order system was in place if it couldn't be followed. I observed others who had ordered the same thing as me after me, receiving their orders before mine. The staff seemed to be arguing and confused about which order belonged to whom.
Without a doubt, this restaurant serves the best chicken ever! I have been coming to this wonderful little establishment for the past 34 years. The food is always top quality and the portion sizes are generous. The staff truly are the cherry on top. I accidentally forgot to show my HTFC season ticket, which grants a discount on match days. Sarah went above and beyond to refund the amount before reordering with the discount applied. Thank you, Sarah, I really appreciate it... and the food was absolutely delicious.
The chicken at this restaurant is delicious and fresh, with generous portion sizes. I highly recommend ordering gravy with the chicken and chips. However, I was disappointed that there are no outdoor seating options, which would be nice during the warmer months. Additionally, I found the prices to be a bit on the expensive side. I would travel all the way from Birmingham for this delicious chicken! And to see the lovely smiley faces or everyone that works there! Such a great group of dedicated people. Real homely vibe in there and great service with a smile always! Thank you to the Marston family xxxx
Been many times before and loved this place But.... ....Who introduced these new rubbish chips it'll be a while before I come back for these cold skinny limp efforts. Wings still ok tho, large portion seems not so large any more.... Change now before your 4 stars goes to 1!
Great chicken been coming here for sometime. Why oh why have you changed your chips fat chips to skinny chips. If I wanted skinny chips I can go to any fast food chicken shop. You cannot get fat chips anywhere only here and you've stopped doing them unbelievable
Called today, after previous visits of remembering how good they were, was so disappointed the chicken was so dry overcooked the coating was dry the chips were soggy and limp, so bad I couldn’t eat them, don’t think I’ll be calling again Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
