Another fantastic date night at Martina Restaurant in the books! On this particular evening we had the cinnamon fried calamari, spaghetti fra diavolo with lobster, chocolate hazelnut torte and my favorite non-alcoholic beverage in town, an iced masala chai. The calamari has cilantro and thin slices of serrano peppers on top if you like a little extra heat. The spaghetti is decadent, yet somehow light and fresh at the same time, with generous chunks of lobster throughout. I’d gladly order it every time. We had an excellent 7 year anniversary dinner here! The cocktails (both spirited and zero proof) were delicious and balanced. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the herb salad added so many fresh flavors to complement the fish. I tried my partner’s flank steak, and it was tasty. But I think the real highlight on her plate were the potato churros. ? We were regretting not getting a whole side of those! The service was pro friendly and knowledgeable. I was pleasantly surprised by the upscale menu and the quality of the food. This place is far from your average restaurant. Every dish was thoughtfully crafted and beautifully presented. The potato churros were definitely the highlight of the meal; they’re like a breakfast potato reimagined, featuring a wonderful texture and flavor—definitely not sweet or dessert-like. The latte was good, just the way I like it with sugar and no syrups, and I was pleased to see that they offered Diet Coke in mini bottles, served with a glass of ice. Both the breakfast pasta and crab Benedict were delicious. However, my friend found her French toast to be a bit dry and requested syrup to go with it.

Our reservation was cancelled due to the weather and they did not accommodate an inside table but we showed up anyway. The staff was nice about it and we were still able to get a seat in the first come first serve area right by the door. It was very tight seating arrangements in this area. It was a rocky start but the food was pretty good. Our server recommended a few items and we were pretty satisfied. I would try this place again and recommend specific seating away from the door.
