Been going here for years. Never disappoints, it is a fairly priced, fast and satisfying meal. There's so many options, if you're not very hungry you can get a bowl of Udon for around $5 or if you are extra hungry, you can get an extra large bowl. I've tried many different types but I gravitelate towards the Wagyu beef and egg Udon or the wagyu beef curry Udon (normally I order a medium . There are so many sides and topping you can get and I usually get the croquet. I love the authentic experience of ordering, receiving the meal and going down the line. Toppings and water are self service and I find it more convenient to put the crispy toppings in a cup so that it doesn't get soggy right awa...
I recently got back from my 4th trip to Japan and had some amazing Udon. There are a couple of Udon places in Sydney that come very close to the taste of authentic Japanese Udon, and I think Murakame is one of them. The noodles were cooked well and the broth tasty. I had the Ontama Bukkake Udon with sides of Kara-age Chicken and fish stick. Both were very tasty, but they would've been slightly better if the temperature was a little bit hotter. For the price though, Murakame is excellent. I'll be stopping in a lot more on my work lunch breaks!
Best udon speciality place I've found so far in Sydney! <br/ <br/ With extremely fast service at low prices, it serves busy people well! Not to mention whether you're peckish or starved all day, there's an udon size for you at M, L and XL serving sizes <br/ <br/ I should also mention that there's unlimited tempura and green onions you can add to your dish. This is a first in my experience, which I find enhances your value for money and tasting experience.
This a lovely place for udon lovers in Chatswood, I personally like udon noodles very much, so this place did not disappoint me it was a very Lovely experience. The tempuras are also very good, I tried all of them veg and non veg, only the mix vegetarian tempura was not up to the mark, but others were amazing, even the non veg tempuras were very nice, the crab stick was the best. Ordered wagyu udon with an extra of fried crab stick and I’m very satisfied with the food. They have tasty soup and the udon is cooked very nicely as well (not too hard and not too soft . I asked for chilli but instead of giving chilli powder, they gave me a chilli dish (miscommunication but i enjoyed it too and did not regret ordering it.
The quality has not changed over the years and food is still cheap and delicious.<br/ <br/ Got cold udon today as it was hot. Their noodles are chewy and freshly cooked. The broth is flavourful and clings to the noodles very well.<br/ <br/ There are a few tempura choices and it makes up an affordable but delicious meal.
Great udon, cheap prices. So good to see a place specializing in udon! Very authentic, just like the places found in Japan. The egg bukkake is the bowl was bigger than what I expected.
