Oh my goodness! This restaurant is a hidden gem in the Southern home-cooking scene and it is absolutely incredible. The people of Mobile, Alabama are some of the most lovely individuals we have ever encountered, and the staff at Mary's are no exception. But let's talk about the food! The roasted chicken is the real deal, succulent and flavorful. The fried pork chops are just as delicious, and the burnt ends are like a rich and savory stew. We also indulged in sides of greens, succotash, mac and cheese, cornbread and gravy, and the most decadent sweet potatoes we have ever tasted. We will definitely be returning!
My work had Mary’s catered and I don’t eat chicken, but all of my coworkers said it was the best chicken they’ve ever had. As for the sides, I had Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes with gravy, and green beans. I can honestly say it was some of the best I’ve ever had as well. The man and woman who delivered was so sweet also. If you want some good southern cooking, I highly recommend this place. I wish I got pictures, but I couldn’t help but just start eating.

On a road trip, my family and I made a pit stop at this restaurant and we were blown away by the delicious food! The menu consisted of tasty southern dishes that reminded us of homemade meals. There was a diverse selection to choose from, and I opted for the turkey necks and spaghetti. The gravy on the turkey necks was flavorful and satisfying. The customer service was just as exceptional as the food.
I recently visited Alabama for the first time and had an amazing dining experience at this restaurant. The food was outstanding and the customer service was unlike anything I've ever experienced before! I highly recommend it to anyone looking to experience genuine Southern hospitality and soul through their delicious cuisine.
I can't believe how amazing this restaurant is! I wish I didn't live in Pensacola so I could eat here at least three times a week. This is some of the best soul food I've had in years. And you better believe that when I'm in Mobile, I'll be coming back here. The service was excellent too.
