Overall, I really appreciate this little spot. I have great respect for the big guy behind the counter who often offers a free chicken box and drink to customers who can’t pay. It seems like he regularly supports people in need, which I admire. There’s no judgment or shaming—just a commitment to taking care of his community. I really enjoy the French toast and waffles! The #3 option, The Breakfast Table, is great for sharing. However, the cheese grits could use some improvement; they lack flavor and mostly just have cheese on top. I also ordered a side of hash browns, which were essentially greasy tater tots. The main entrees are fantastic! Just be mindful of the sides you choose, as they might not have much flavor.
The Croissant Sandwich was delightful, with a soft, flaky, and buttery croissant. The Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich is also quite good, and the portion sizes are generous, making it definitely worth the price. I highly recommend pairing the chicken sandwich with the jalapeño mayo!
The best chicken and waffles I’ve ever had! Santos, who was at the front counter, was incredibly kind and a pleasure to chat with. The these folks make a really, really great (and unavailable) Mediterranean bowl. Add shrimp, and it is irresistible!! YOU CAN'T GET this type of food on Indian Head Hwy going south. (Custom lemonade too) The place is a little smelly, though.
The salmon kabob plate is absolutely worth the price and is packed with flavor. However, the wings and leg were quite small for what you pay, although they were still tasty.
Waffle and home fries were good, the tenders were crunchy on outside but too moist/slimy on inside.
