We visited today for lunch, two adults and our son who is 7. We hadn’t booked a table but Liz kindly said we could sit in the bar area which was actually perfect as Alfie got to watch some football as we waited! Liz was amazing because I had mentioned the I was doing slimming world and she was amazing at recommending things that wouldn’t be too detrimental to my diet!!! My other half had the mussels. Followed by the streak pie which he said was the best steak pie ever! I had the minestrone soup followed by chicken Arrabbiata pasta both lovely. good friendly little local restaurant in ballieston, not far from the main street and right behind the morissons super market, quite easy to find and with lots of parking on the road and the parking next. when we went to the restaurant, was really busy on a Saturday night, and since this was the first time here, had booked a table. when the evening was over, I looked down, but would recommend calling for a reservation. portion sizes were really good and definitiw filling. I drove tonight, so I never have the opportunity to taste drinks from the bar. would have been going back in definitiw.
We were in the bar area watching the football and fancied some food after it. I popped in and spoke to Liz and she managed to squeeze us in after the game. First class in every way yet again and the place is second to none. There’s not many restaurants that you can’t fault and this is certainly one of them. Thanks again!

my first impression was a very small restaurant with not much atmosphere. large menu choice 2 courses £15.50 and 3 courses, £19 approx. the service was excellent and all 7 of us enjoyed the appetizers and main courses. overall we really enjoyed this restaurant.
Heard great things about the food in Massimos from friends and family so had to go and try for myself. Staff were welcoming and attentive from the start, the meal was delicious, couldn`t find a fault.
it was nice, oh amd the hand cut chips were amazing service was also great. make sure to book or call as it tends to be busy, it is also not massive, so can be hard to get a table. highly recommended
