This location falls far below the national standards set by Mastros ranging from California and Las Vegas to New York, and so I would not recommend coming here. The first round of drinks after sitting down didn’t not arrive until a couple of minutes before our main course (and took well over 30 minutes), and the second round arrived after our dessert course. The server was trying to upsell absolutely everything, repeatedly, even after we declined the options, and it was almost awkward. The food itself wasn’t cooked to the regular perfection that you get at other Mastros—steaks were either over- or under-cooked. Overall, I would avoid this location, eat somewhere else in DC, and try a Mastros...
We have dined at various Mastros locations across the U.S. and have never had a negative experience until our visit in Washington, DC. We waited at our table for over 30 minutes before we had to ask for service. When we finally received attention, we ordered drinks, but after another 15 minutes without any drinks arriving, we decided to leave. It's disappointing to see that Mastros has resorted to the typical chain restaurant experience and has become just an overpriced version of Chilis.
This review is strictly for the waitress named Nicole. We would have given 5 stars if she did not taint our experience in the beginning. We were told by the hostess that she would be our ?wonderful? waitress. She also came over to bring us menus and ask our water preference as if she was our waitress. However, for some odd reason the waiter was switched. When she was acting as our waitress, she was extremely short when answering our questions seemed as though she did not
Definitely one of the best restaurants in DC. Went to Mastro's for my cousins birthday dinner, reserved the private room downstairs(check with the team for availability). We got there about an hour and a half before closing, yet they were very patient with us. The shrimp cocktail and Woodford Manhattan were excellent. Tried some of the other appetizers from the table and everything tested pretty well. For the main course I had the Rack of Lamb, didn't disappoint at all.

The steaks were cooked just right. Our waiter was polite and make our evening more enjoyable. The lobster mash potatoes had plenty of lobster meat; however, it was oily. If you like lemon drops then you should definitely try theirs because of the taste and presentation. The shrimp in the shrimp cocktail were huge. We had added crab meat to one of the steaks; however, we felt as though the restaurant could have included more meat relative to the cost of the dish but
My family dined at this restaurant on New Year's Eve 2021 during our trip to D.C. We absolutely loved the food, the ambiance, and the service. The Wagyu steak was definitely worth the price. The lobster mac n cheese and garlic mashed potatoes were delicious, as were the Bacon and sautéed shrimp appetizers. For dessert, you must try the warm butter cake. We wish there was a Mastro's closer to where we live. We will definitely be returning!
We couldn?t have chosen a better establishment to celebrate our 3 year anniversary. From the food to the service, everything was exceptional. The service size of everything is huge! You could definitely share every course and spend half the money?or if your like us, we enjoy the left overs the best day ????.
Celebrated my birthday dinner there on 3/15 and when I say I was treated like a queen I was! The steak was phenomenal on the heated plates! Bread service was also great. Top notch service from waitress. Cocktails were so delicious! This place was absolutely beautiful! I can’t wait to go back again!

I always have a great time at Mastro’s. I usually go for the sautéed shrimp and the butter cake.
