In einem erstaunlichen Jugendstil-Gebäude finden Sie das Mattenhof Resort, das 10 Minuten vom Stadtzentrum entfernt liegt. Charmant, altmodisch, finden Sie dieses Gebäude fast wie vor 100 Jahren. Sehr wenig Renovierung hat in der Zwischenzeit stattgefunden, was diesen Ort wirklich faszinierend macht. Fast wie ein verzaubertes Schloss. Mein Zimmer war geräumig mit einer schönen kleinen Terrasse, um einen fantastischen Bergblick zu genießen. Alle Annehmlichkeiten sind auf das Minimum beschränkt, der Safe funktioniert nicht, das Bett ist recht bequem, das Badezimmer ist gut genug mit einer funktionierenden Dusche. Nach langer Hotelsuche kamen wir im Mattenhof an. Wir haben inkl. Frühstück für 2 Personen pro Nacht 130€ gezahlt. Normaler Preis in der Schweiz. Der Mattenhof bietet Hostelzimmer (Mehrbettzimmer und Doppelzimmer) und Hotelzimmer an. Wir waren im Hostelbereich in einem Doppelzimmer, wobei ich nicht sagen kann, wo der Hotelbereich war. Ein Hotelzimmer sollte aber 200€ kosten.Das Zimmer war recht schön und neu eingerichtet, das Bad war weniger schön. Sehr zweckmäßig und es schien in das Zimmer nachträglich hineingebaut worden zu sein. The building is absolutely beautiful and the location is great. We had a stunning view from our family which was 2 large rooms opened up. Friendly and welcoming staff too. However the hotel is completely run down and could really do with some TLC and renovation. Although large, our family room was very basic and the bathroom looked like it had not been redecorated since the 1970's and smelt strongly of urine. We were only there for one night, didn't arrive until late and left early the next morning. Had we'd been due to stay longer we would have had to complain. Breakfast was very basic but ok. Lovely quiet location with only a short walk into Interlaken. Such a shame because with some money...
I stayed here many times before, this was my first time for the winter. So close to the ski fields , perfect! You can’t beat this place for character, charm and genuine friendly people that are chill and relaxed as Interlaken is. Cozy fireplace, cool tunes and regular events were on during our stay such as jazz work shops, brass band, New Year’s Eve DJ party was awesome. it’s just a cool Space built in 1908.They just opened an escape room at the back what is known as the funny farm, we are one of the first people to do it, lots of fun definitely worth a go. Mattenhof Resort at Interlaken is at a great locations and some of the rooms offer stunning views of the mountains . During our recent family holidays our stay was at this Resort, booked by our tour operator. We were lucky enough to get rooms which offered amazing view. But , the rooms are very basic, fairly run down . The property is old and not maintained well. The room service is not regular .So if you are looking for these things ,look else where. Resort staff is friendly and Resident dog Kaya is friendly. I wish the resort owner upgraded the facilities . This could be one of the best resort in Interlaken then.
The best part of staying at Mattenhof is the the view from the room, stunning view of the Mountains. But not the best place for family stay, as rooms were not properly cleaned, breakfast quality poor (not adequately replenished) , the staff was just okay, lots of youngsters staying here and sitting late at night in the gardens and making loads of noise, no control by the management... This resort has the potential to be the best in Interlaken with minor improvements and personal touch. If they can offer me clean room and no noise, i will return back again....
Altmodisches Hotel, kleines Badezimmer. Eher als 2-3-Sterne-Hotel denn als Resort beschrieben. Geräusche vom Holzboden, wenn sich Leute bewegen... ziemlich nervig. Schöner Empfangsbereich mit ein paar kostenpflichtigen Spielen (z.B. Billard). Das Frühstück war begrenzt auf gekochte Eier, Käse, Schinken und Marmelade. Teuer, aber alle Orte in der Schweiz sind es.
Stayed two nights. Resort is worn down and have very basic amenities. Price is high and breakfast not included, cost about $15 Canadian per person. Super friendly staff and guests Sarah, Rob, Rodger, Hans and many more. Beautiful views from some rooms and full size bath which I love. I was staying in the hotel which is great value for money rather than the hostel.
