The “Mayf” is an institution in Montreux. It used to be a tea room in the 70’s, same in the 80’s, became the place to be in the 90’s where all the teenagers would go for a night out and witness the birth of the House Music movement, kept on rocking in the 00’s where the next generation of teenagers would spend their weekday nights chillin’ with friends, their weekend nights dancing/drinking and their Sunday night playing the famous quiz, transformed itself in the 10’s in a more spacious bar with a New York chill atmosphere where you can enjoy a few drinks with a Chicha while watching a football game and will surely keep on going in the 20’s with the same success. Great place where shisha is available for 25 chf and it has the view if the lake where you can enjoy your drink and shisha. A must visit for all the shisha lovers. Lovely service and great hospitality. The shisha quality is also great , I had tried the forest berries flavour hookah which was very refreshing and had taken a rose wine. Although the cocktail was not upto the mark, had taken a cosmopolitan too but it didnt taste that well.
Great place to hang out in the heart of Montreux. Speak with the owner, he is an amazing eletro music passionate. Great people, great place!Took a trip here from USA and absolutely loved this place. They made a special gluten-free lunch for my wife. They let us feel welcome and special. We had a very enjoyable conversation with the owner. We will make an effort to return the next time we're in Montreux.
