Place have a homey feels to it. Good place for breakfast that 's why my family would go here once in a while because it is close to our home and to support the local eatery at the area. But today as we decided to have our Sunday brunch after church, the server we had yelled at me. Before hand. I understand that serves work is no fun and no easy job because I myself work in the same industry. So, today as we are seated and ordered our meal everything was great. I asked the server for another syrup and water for everyone because the one on our table is empty and my daughter is ordering pancakes. When our coffee and drink came, they forgot to gave my daughter a straw and only gave us 2 glasses...
Our overall experience was just average. We entered with high hopes but found the service to be surprisingly slow and inattentive. Although the restaurant wasn't very crowded, it was challenging to get the waitstaff's attention throughout our visit. It seemed like a couple of the waitresses were new, as they appeared to be unfamiliar with their roles. When one of them finally stopped by to refill our coffees, she only filled the cups halfway and didn’t offer to refill them again until the very end of our meal. Everything was ok except our server (Chery1) she came with menus to take the order right away. We said we need a minute to order and she came back after 30 seconds to ask we are ready to order. Anyway we ordered and we were still working on it but she dropped to check on the table. It was a weekday not a busy weekend so no need to push us and also nobody can seat and eat in 30 mins. I respected her age and i didnt say anything but she should have retired long time ago.
Food was decent. I was traveling through the area and the food hit the spot. It wasn’t super busy but that may be because it’s kind of in the outer burbs. I don’t remember what I got so it wasn’t memorable but service was good and atmosphere was fine. I would recommend making a stop if you’re in the area before driving further out of the city

The second time at Maywood and the gluten-free pancakes were great but the turkey sausage were meh. The waitress was pleasant. First time at the Maywood location, and it was awesome. The food is great for dairy free, gluten-free, and vegan options. I had the Sante fe Quesadilla, and it was fabulous. The waitress was equally fabulous!
Popular American cusine in Maywood. I would highly recommend checking this place for breakfast or lunch. The portions are decent size, and prices are competitive.
It's my favorite place to have breakfast. I usually go there once a week. I really love the american french toast!
Pancakes were fabulous and service was great. Organic maple syrup was a worthy extra.
