I made a reservation and mistakenly made it for 2, instead of 3, my sister, elderly mother and myself. The very first thing the waitress did was to let me know of my mistake, you made it for 2, not 3 people . The place was empty. She sat us in a back room that looked under construction and was very cold with no decor. It went down hill from there, believe it or not. The food was ok, however, my chicken salad sandwich had a lot of grisly pieces that were inedible, unlike the chicken sandwiches I had from here a couple of years ago when I used to order an extra one to take home to my husband. Nope. Fries were home made and were great! Quiche was a bit undercooked. Cheesecake was nothing specia...
Disappointed in this restaurant. I took my friend for her birthday as a treat but it wasn't much of a treat. Butternut Squash soup was OK and served nice and hot. My friend said she liked it more than I did. She had cheddar quiche which was cheesy but not quite hot enough to melt the cheese, and I had the spinach and feta quiche that had no taste whatsoever. It was like the feta and any seasonings including salt and pepper were forgotten. The pastry was tender though. My friend tasted it and agreed it was lacking in any flavour at all. My sister and I love to come to McLeod house, however this visit we had to wait almost an hour for lunch, and it wasn't busy,the food was good but far too long a wait then we went upstairs to shop and really found very little merchandise and a lot of it wasn't priced so we didn't know if it was a prop or decor. A little disappointed

It seems the meals are getting a little smaller and more expensive. That is too bad I realize expenses are going up it’s a hard situation all around.
I had a 12:15 reservation and the English Breakfast Tea and Quiche were already sold out. I don’t like the Sunday Brunch limitations.
The Service Was Wonderful The Surroundings were very pleasant and the meal was very tasty.
