Great location and building. Front desk friendly. Bartender was professional at the bar while we waited half hour for our table (we had a reservation but busy Saturday eve). Dining room was loud, chaotic, disorganized, and service is subpar to restaurant with entrees well over $30 on average. Once seated, our table was super wet from being wiped, only partially set (asked couple of times for napkins and silverware and finally took some from another set table), waiter spilled water on the floor while filling our glasses and ignored it, suggested we order our drinks, appetizers and meal at the same time because the kitchen is backed up. Everything was overall very good. Our wait staff were so nice and accommodating, but it seemed like constant screw ups. A shrimp cocktail was brought to our table that was not ours. My daughter in law's meal came out wrong. Took forever to bring another out. Our waters were not refilled unless asked. A manager went to my daughter in law and offered her a free dessert. That dessert as well as several drinks were doubled on our check. Our waitress adjusted it, but then there was no gluten free chocolate cake, after ordering, and only my daughter in law was addressed by the manager-not the rest of us who also ordered it. I quickly remembered why I did not go back to this restaurant. The wait for our drinks and food was extremely slow especially for an early reservation. I ordered the French onion soup, towards the bottom bit into a random shrimp (gross to think how did that get in there, and I have a seafood allergy! The waiter made a confused face and still did not think as a courtesy to remove it from the bill! The food was not worth the price as my meal was cold and had no condiments. An up charge for specific liquors onto of overpriced drinks was ridiculous. I must say this was the most disappointing restaurant.
McLoone's Boathouse offers a wonderful dining experience with great food and service. During my visit, I ordered the crab stuffed grouper, which was flavorful but slightly tough to cut into. When the manager asked about my experience, she promptly offered a replacement plate, acknowledging the issue with the fish texture. Despite this minor setback, the overall dining experience was delightful, with well-proportioned and flavorful dishes. The food was incredible, and my wife and I had a wonderful time here. However, it seemed like our table was overlooked. My wife ordered a glass of wine that never arrived, and we eventually had to wait for a manager to assist us because our waitress was nowhere in sight. The manager handled the situation exceptionally well, which is why our experience didn’t turn sour. We are definitely planning to return and give the service another chance. Overall, it’s a fantastic place!
It was a lot less fancy than I thought it would be. The dress is very casual meaning a lot of ppl wore jeans and hoodies which is not really my type of date night attire. My server Amanda was amazing though and the food was about 7/10. I wish there was more of a selection
