My wife has always enjoyed the food and vibe of other Mecca bah restaurants at Broadbeach and Brisbane so when we went for a weekend away for my wife’s birthday she wanted to eat at the Mecca Bah at Hope Island. What a bitter disappointment. The wait staff were wondering around aimlessly even though it was fairly full of what I’m sure would be other disappointed patrons. When we flagged down a server she immediately gave us attitude and said that it is not her table but she would take our order and proceeded to rush us through the ordering process. If you're looking to start your day off right, come here for breakfast. I enjoyed a delicious omelette made exactly to my liking. The owner, Harry, along with his son Mirko, as well as April, Bryce, and Duro all share the same friendly and accommodating approach. They go above and beyond to make sure you're happy. For lunch, we tried the steak sandwich and chips, which were delicious. The steak was juicy and the portion was very satisfying. The teas and coffees are always served hot. The restaurant is conveniently located next to Coles in a lively shopping center. A visit here is definitely recommended for a delightful day out.
I have visited this restaurant several times and I have always been satisfied. The scones, Eggs Benedict, and juices are all delicious. They also offer gluten-free options. The atmosphere is nice, making it a good place to meet up with friends. However, if you're looking for a more romantic setting with water views (which is common in Hope Island), this restaurant does not offer views of the water. Despite this, it does have a relaxing environment.
We ordered Trip dips and it was nice. For mains we ordered the vegetarian pizza which was something different. The base was thin and crispy and it also had Halloumi along with charred eggplant. Loved it. The quality of food was good. The customer service was very good. Nice ambience.

Some of the food was not hot, table water was not topped up even after asking twice. Banquet dishes did not have serving utensils. When asked for serving utensils we were given 1 knife 1 fork for 5 shared dishes.
the food was delicious with large portions. unfortunately the kitchen has forgotten one of the meals and we had to ask. the personal was apologetic and gave us a free cocktail very professional.
The evening was special. My wife's 48th birthday and from the moment we arrived we were welcomed and looked after. Superb tasty food with generous portions my God what a great experience
Mecca Bah is one of my favourite resturants, food is always consistently great. A great place to spend with family or catch up dear friends. Staff are always happy and friendly.

the mezze had a large selection of delicious foods. beautiful spice and taste. drink selection was also good. a very good choice for a meal. I highly recommend this place.
