One of my favorite places to eat or take out! This restaurant is a sister to Las Fuentes and Sol y Luna, but I prefer Melodie’s because they are consistently excellent. Their asada is amazing! The service is lovely, the atmosphere is great, but most importantly: they have the BEST ASADA FRIES EVER! In the entire world. With grilled onions, mushrooms, double meat, refried beans, and chips, it’s a glorious feast that’s enough to share with 2-3 people. I’m not a fan of their pickled jalapeños, but I do love their hard shell tacos, taquitos, and salsa bar. They also serve beer. I would recommend skipping the pollo and going for the asada instead. I visited the restaurant specifically for their horchata from Arleta, but when I arrived, they changed it for me. The new drink tasted like a mix of cinnamon and sugar water, with a brown color instead of the traditional white. It left a burning sensation in my throat because it was too sweet, and I regretted drinking it. My wife was also annoyed by it. Additionally, the micheladas were way too spicy. I'm not sure who told them they were spicy, but it's just a mild flavor that you can barely taste the beer. I've heard that others have complained too, but it seems they aren't taking any action to address these issues.
The food here is outstanding and reasonably priced. As a sister restaurant to Sol e Luna, you can expect the same excellent quality at a better value. The chips are perfectly salted and have just the right amount of grease, enhancing their delicious corn flavor. The machaca burrito is simply amazing—nothing more needs to be said about it. The restaurant's interior is lovely; it’s a bit small, but that adds to its inviting and cozy atmosphere.
Melody's is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Los Angeles. The atmosphere is very casual and the food delicious. We love the salpicon Tostadas, I hope I spelled that correctly . Usually the Salpicon Tostadas and a plate of refried beans and cheese with a basket of chips will do lunch or dinner for us. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
I've been coming here 20 years. The food is still as good as I always remembered. Very fresh and delicious clean ingredients, hand made salsas, my favorite restaurant. I always ask for extra sauce for my wet burrito. So yummy
Came from out of town to visit my daughter, and she took me here for lunch . I had the bistek wet burrito, and as you can see It was so delicious. I forgot to take a picture. I'm looking forward to going back .
