Memoria - Restaurante e Wine Bar

We were 2 couples for lunch during a day trip to Obidos : we saw so many people having lovely lunches but stopped here without checking TripAdvisor! The service was really slow …..the seafood pastas were ok small shrimp, clams and what looked like bits of crabmeat but probably pollock? The “ salada do mar “ was a plate of lettuce tomato with a helping of the warm seafood pasta sauce plonked in the middle…..that was pretty disgusting. The vegetarian pasta was ok but billed as a seafood salad we didn’t argue that…. What was annoying was being billed 4.5 Euro for a glass of “ sumo natural” orange juice but which was a glass of very watered orange juice ….. It was so painfully slow we just paid...

Unforgettable experience for all the bad reasons. The fish was not eatable, bad smell and bad taste. The octopus was only boiled in water. Absolutely no flavour AT ALL. The meat was half defrosted and no flavour AT ALL. Nobody was responsible for anything of any kind of any problems of any plate serviced. So there was nobody responsible to receive and treat any complaint. So please, TripAdvisor help us and treat this complaint in a responsible way. There is no money that pays bad service, bad food even if it was free, although it was VERY EXPENSIVE. Note: beware of the spiders and spider’s net.

We had carbonara and bolognese pasta and peasant salad. All 3 dishes really tasted bad. The pastas were over cooked and bland. The meat in the peasant salad were very disgusting and very greasy. We waited also a very long time to be served. The waiter was a bit kind and when we told him that the food was not good, he did not charge us for the bread. A meagre compensation but at least a little gesture.

Absolutely horrible attitude towards clients. A waiter saying: “I don’t serve animals, I serve people” because we occupied a table that was not cleaned, but was good to us because the baby was sleeping in a baby stroller and there was a place for it. Terrible. Just come and say at least, that you won’t serve, but do not make people look for you and receive such comment. Absolutely rude Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

We came in exhausted and hungry from traveling, it was raining and late in the evening and Sergio greeted us with such friendliness and eagerness to be of great service that we didn’t think to go anywhere else. The Bolognese was good comfort food but it was especially Sergio’s friendliness toward us that won the day.

The food is terrible, don’t go there! The worst octopus I’ve ever tried chewy, burned and no taste. I returned the dish after first bite.
