Smallest serving of wine they show on the drinks menu is 175ml, but when I ordered a small wine from the guy behind the bar, I was given what seemed like a thimbleful. This didn 't seem right, so I queried it at the bar and it turned out he had charged me £3.65 for (supposedly) 125ml. A lady behind the bar became involved, and when I asked her why I was charged for such a small measure that wasn 't even on the drinks list (albeit it at less than the advertised price for the larger measure), she explained that they have smaller prices and measures on their till that aren 't on the menu . Mendoza used to have a good reputation. What has happened? Went in for lunch today and I can honestly say I wish we hadn't. The service was so slow it was unbelievable. One lady waited for over 10 minutes for a cup of coffee. This would be acceptable if they were busy but the place was almost empty. To make it worse the food was totally bland. No seasoning at all. The pasta was over cooked and absolutely tasteless. My wife said the same. The only part of the meal with any flavour was the little piece of garlic bread. We will not be visiting again.
The service at this restaurant was extremely poor. We waited 15 minutes for the drinks menu and another 20 minutes for our drinks to be served. Despite the cafe not being busy and only having three other groups of people, the waiter/bartenders seemed to be wandering around aimlessly and chatting with friends instead of attending to customers. After waiting for over 35 minutes for just two drinks, we were very disappointed. I would not recommend this place and will not be returning.
We had an amazing experience at this restaurant. We called ahead and reserved a table for a party of 25. The menu was great and reasonably priced. The service was fast and the staff was very attentive. They even provided balloons for my 8-year-old's birthday. The bill was accurate and did not include an automatic gratuity for large groups, unlike most places. We will definitely be returning. Thank you to Ebi, Nicola, Clare, and the rest of the team! I ate at mendoza this morning, and I ordered the small breakfast that includes tea or coffee. I got my tea before the breakfast, and I had to wait thirty five minutes for the food, so I had practically finished my cuppa before it had arrived. But, the breakfast was nice, although the yolk on the egg was hard, overdone. So a little bit of a shame. Though the staff member serving, was friendly.
Café Mendoza is a lovely bar in the heart of Aylesbury town centre. I enjoy going here for lunch, the wraps are tasty, filling and reasonably priced. The same with the pizza, my favourite being the Chicken Caesar pizza, oozing with flavour and perfect for lunch. The WIFI is really good too so if you have any business to catch up on, you can make the most of it.
Whilst I really enjoyed the Brush Party, the cafe wasn't in darknes. I think this was do to works being carried out on the road outside. The Brush Party went ahead, but only one person at the bar and just felt a bit pokey. May try again when it's in the main part of the cafe and they have lights!
I went to this restaurant on Saturday night and had a great experience. The food was delicious and the staff were very pleasant. I will definitely be returning. We opted for the pre-theatre menu, which was reasonably priced. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Nice place, but they hate hats and will ask you to leave if you refuse to take it off. No signs or posters up declaring it. Yes I'm being serious.
