Located near downtown, a bit sketchy when waking from my hotel there but it’s worth it:Foods are hot and quick. Place is cozy and perfect for quick date and above all, it’s actually a bank for the buck (if you keep the spending low). If you want a table with little wait time, arrive 10’ early or right at the moment it opens. Pretty intuitive system with scan to order and pay, so it’s a seamless experience but a bit fast paced. It’s a great way to end a day if you get out of 4:30 , and looking for a quick meal to go back and keep working.Would recommend:Corn grilledShredded ChipsShould try:Ramen next time
The mochi tsukemen (which I believe is a limited item) was absolutely life-changing! It’s unlike any regular tsukemen I've had; the texture of the noodles is truly unique and pairs perfectly with the dish. The spicy enoki mushroom chips were also delightful—they didn't really taste like mushrooms and reminded me a bit of french fries. The blaze ramen was fantastic too, perfect for when you're craving something with a little kick. I highly recommend trying the mochi tsukemen if you get the chance. Words can’t do it justice—just go try it!
My wife and I love this place very much. The last time we came here it was heaven on earth. This time was so so. The spicy Wagyu ramen was 60% oil 40% broth. I could feel the acne growing on my face as I tried to eat the ramen. The Matcha ramen was VERY bland. (We took the oil broth from the Wagyu ramen and added to the Matcha Ramen and it was actually not that bad) I would like liked to see better flavor profiles from a Michelin starred restaurants but we will definitely be trying again when we come back to San Francisco.
I was by myself, so I was sited at the bar near the semi-open kitchen. The staff in the kitchen were playing their own music loudly, mixed with the other music the restaurant was playing at the dining part. In addition to that, some other customers were talking very loudly. It is a small restaurant. All these made the dining environment very noisy not in a good way. I’m all for street food vibe. Overhyped overrated. I tried this place for the first time 4 years ago and thought it was okay, but given so many people love it, I decided to give it a second go. This time the conclusion was the same the ramen was mediocre. The broth is on the creamy side with some interesting blend of flavors, but they didn’t quite come together. We got the tori paitan as well as the wagyu tantanmen; previously we got the spicy tori paitan.
This might be the best ramen I've ever had. The broth was super creamy and not overly salty unlike most ramen. The restaurant is quite small and feels more like a traditional ramen shop. One thing to note is you order ahead of time while you are in line and pay first. There are a few single spots facing the kitchen that are normally free so there is less of a wait if you come solo.
Arrived about 6:30 pm and waited about 15 minutes to be seated. The line was much longer when we left. Very small and close quarters, but the food was excellent. I had the Toripaitan. The food arrived very quickly after I ordered. It was very comforting. The broth was very flavorful. I hope to come back someday. No reservations available, so go early to avoid the rush.
It’s a small place, but has a great vibe. Expect to stand outside to get in. Food was great, had the spicy lamb miso. If you’re expecting service, they seated you and someone brings you food; be thankful. Everything is done through a QR code, both the menu and how you order….very streamlined. This is one of the best ramen spots in the area! I just wish they didn't have their "house" rules. It's always busy and there's often a line, so be ready for that.
