I went here for the first time a couple of weeks ago and it was hands down the best food I've ever had in my life. I told the waiter to be sure he told the chef just how good it was. I was literally in heaven. The service was excellent and the staff were very knowledgeable on all of the delicious entrees they had to offer. Our waiter, Tyler I believe his name was excellent! I had the half chicken with a couple sides. I cannot tell you how amazing the Brussel sprouts are. I told the waiter I would honestly just come back for the Brussel sprouts by itself. Meritage is one of our go-to places to have dinner. Pros: Fantastic mixed drinks, salads are delicious, and the daily soups ! are AMAZING. The daily fish feature is always inventive and great tasting*. Wait staff is knowledgeable and remembers patrons from previous visits. Cons: If seated at the bar the service is extremely slow. If it's a busy evening the bartender is struggling to keep up with all of the drink orders from the rest of the restaurant and taking a smoke break every 30 minutes. *Also, a lot of the dishes are somewhat spicy. If that's not your jam be sure to consult on the preparation.
I noticed the chef buying fresh tomatoes at the Farmer's Market stand right across the street from the restaurant. Farm-to-table dining at its best! This is likely our favorite restaurant in all of Cincinnati. I tend to keep the family in the main dining room when I need to keep an eye on the kids, as they tend to get distracted by the TVs when we sit upstairs. However, that can be nice, especially when there's live music or a game on for the Reds, Bearcats, Bengals, or FCC!
The food was really good. Large portions and very flavorful. My salmon was perfectly cooked. My sister is vegetarian and loved her wrap and asparagus. My brother in law enjoyed his steak and said it was very flavorful. My son had meaty lamb chops lollipops and they were tasty and tender. Overall, this was a great place for dinner. I’ll definitely be back. Only bad thing, it’s cold in the booth, the vent was right beneath the seating.

Our server, Rylan, provided outstanding service and made my birthday celebration even more memorable. However, I was let down by the lamb chops, which were overcooked and didn't even appear to be grilled, despite my order for medium rare. I had higher expectations based on previous visits, so perhaps I should just stick to your sandwiches and salads rather than the main courses.
We love visiting Meritage for a special dinner or to stop in on a Sunday afternoon in the bar area for a taste treat, a drink and some delightful music. Very nice. Call ahead or go online to make a reservation. Works great! ? Wheelchair accessibility: Has an elevator for second floor dining
Cuisine, decor, service and kind people. Not necessarily in that order. The menu plus daily offerings were delightful. Vickie could look at us and help us choose. Didn’t rush us. Fish,caprese, gumbo, goetta pimento sandwich, fries, cheesecake all creatively presented and delicious.
Our meals were excellent and our server was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. She enthusiastically endorsed all of our choices...although I suspect she does that with everyone. ? Overall, we had a very good experience.

The Meritage salad with grilled chicken is my go-to lunch dish. Fresh, generous piece of grilled chicken delicious dressing. Service is excellent!
This place was Awesome!! It’s definitely expensive but the food is out of this world good!!
